Default Boombox or Soloist

What's the better choice.

In either case, looking to keep the unit for kitchen listening, occasionally taking the radio for a car trip. Won't be using the BB with batteries as a portable.

Can I use the radios' fm transmitter with each and can I use CCRane with each to broadcast around the house.

May also use SIR to broadcast around the house.

Thanks

I just got the Soloist for my kitchen and I love it. The SQ is awesome. The unit is small and fits in the kitchen nicely.

1 vote for the Soloist.

I like to crank it a bit higher than I feel comfortable taking the Soloist, so I vote for the boombox.

I've never heard the soloist, but I can tell you that the boombox sounds pretty damn good and feels very solid.

The Soloist is a no brainer for the Kitchen! Small footprint, great sound and has a remote, so if you are sitting at the table you can move it up or down through channels and categories. There isn't a direct tune with the Soloist though.

Once you use your car or home dock remote to put it into direct tune mode, you can use the Soloist remote to direct tune it.

One of my friends gave me the Soloist for Christmas this year, and I put it in my kitchen because I couldn't think of a better place to put it. Now I look for excuses to sit in my kitchen.

Default Need help on picking a boombox for a Sportster Replay

I have just received a Sirius Sportster Replay for Christmas, I love it other than I cannot listen to it while I am in my house unless I do it through the computer.

I have seen the Soloist, and the SUBX1. I know that there are many other systems out there. I want one that will be the best for the Sportster Replay. I like the Soloist, because I can plug my I pod directly into it as well. I have heard that they both have pretty good sound. I would like to use this as an alarm clock to wake up to, would I be able to do that with the SUBX1? If there are any other suggestions that you would recommend for the Sportster Replay would be helpful as well. I am also uncertain if either of these two systems will be compatible with the Sportster Replay.

These units are not compatible with the Sportster Replay. You will have to look hard to find a Sportster boombox. You could use the home kit, those are still available I believe.

Does anyone know of a system that would be capable with the Sportster Relay?

You mean the Replay?

Only the Sportster Boombox, the Exec dock, and the home kit.

Yes I did, thank you. Would you recommend any specific one of those that you listed above?

I had the boombox and it sounded good. I had it in my workshop.

I have not used the Exec dock.

The home kit is good IMO because you can hook it up to computer speakers or any stereo for sound.
