Default Universal Boombox Question

Is it safe to leave the power of the boombox on all the time and only turn the receiver attached to it off? There is no remote for the boombox, so i just want to use my starmate 4 replay remote to turn off the receiver, but the boombox will then stay on all night and day. Is this okay?
-Thanks

Unless your running batter power it should be fine. The box shuts down after 20 seconds or so after the receiver is either paused or turned off. The universal doesn't even have a light showing it's on unless I'm mistaken so there shouldn't be anything that gets really hot or will wear out faster by leaving it on.

I don't do it that way, but I doubt anything would break.

I've got the universal boombox....had it for about a month. I leave mine on all night long and use it as an alarm clock. Yesterday I pushed the power button and nothing....so I unplugged it and plugged it back in. It came on but there is a low buzzing sound coming from the speaker on the bottom. I talked to the guy at radio shack and he will exchange it today....it the first ptoblem I've had with it and I'm not sure if its cuz I leave it on all night but I just wanted to post my experience....

Thanks for the advice, the box seems to turn its speakers off after about 15 seconds, but the boombox light never goes off.

Have any of you guys had problems with the AUX in? I tried using mine with my mp3 player and didn't get sound. I used the source button as the manual said, but no luck? Maybe the adapter wire is bad?

I use mine all the time although never with an mp3...I have not had any problems at all...checking the wire would be the easiest/cheapest way.
On another note I returned my boombox to radio shack yesterday and they took it back and gave me a new one off the shelf no questions asked. I should say I did not buy the warranty with this unit(I know I know stupid) any way the guy said they have an agreement w/ sirius to replace all products for a period of one yr from purchase. I've bought from CC and BB before and this is the first I've heard of this..
