Default Sirius Home connect problem

Hi all,

I've seen that there's a Sirius Home connect tuner that has an optional remote control. I have a Sirius ready reciever. If I buy the sirius home connect tuner with the optional remote can I still control sirius through my receiver. The optional remote text says it's for those without sirius compatable receiver.
I now just got the sirius 'home connect', note not 'home connect tuner' .
The home connect has a remote and it's working. However, I can't connect it to my reciever. The home connect costs 3x the home tuner kit yet you can't control sirius via your sirius compatible receiver!! You apparently have to purchase a separate home connect tuner and accout !!!

I think the actual tuner part is the same between the "home connect tuner" and "home connect" kit (at least they LOOK the same tome )

Does your tuner have the 8-pin female connector on the side? Your Sirius ready stereo should have a similar 8-pin female connector. my home connect kit came with an 8-pin male-to-male cable to connect the tuner to the sirius ready stereo.

Welcome to SBS pvabeach.

There is the SiriusConnect, and the Sirius Conductor, sounds to me like you got the Conductor. The connect is strictly a radio to be controlled by a Sirius ready home tuner. The Conductor is a radio that is controlled by a 3 line LCD remote control, the conductor can feed anything with line level inputs. The connect can also be connected to a Conductor as a second zone.

The Connect is around $50 and the Conductor is $150 (before rebates).
