Post What receiver is best for me?

Hello all.

I am looking for a new receiver and currently have a fried ST1. Some of the issues I've had with the ST1 were:

-Broken antenna jack. I would get "antenna not detected" and "acquiring signal" a lot. It seemed like every time I hit a bump this would happen. Once I twisted or moved the jack that goes into the radio, it would be okay for a little while. This was probably my biggest issue.

-Broken cigarette lighter plug. I would have to spin, prop, and wedge paper just to get the power to stay on. I eventually had to snip the plug off and hardwire it. This is also why it's now fried.

-Display button. When scrolling thru the stations it was display the station, then I'd have to press display to see the artist, then display again to see the song. This was a huge pain in the ass. I would like to be able to see at least the artist and song at once without having to select the station.

The radio gets moved from the work truck to the car often so this is probably why I had the antenna and cigarette lighter issue.

I don't really care about the FM preset or the replay, but it would be nice (especially the replay), and it would be cool if I could use it in a boombox.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

The Stratus, Starmate 3/4 and Sporster 3/4 have the new universal dock connector. I've been moving my Starmate 3 between two cars, a home dock and a boom box for over a month now and there doesn't seem to be any degradation in the connector at all. (I've been watching closely for problems because my old Audiovox PNP2 dock plug gave me difficulties).

The Starmate 4 and Sportster 4 both have the replay function. The only difference between them is that the Starmate is physically smaller and doesn't have a rotary knob for tuning and making menu selections.
