the Repubs may as well save their money, Rendell isn't going to lose. the state is humming along just fine and when the gambling rolls in it will boost the economy big time. incumbents are hard enough to unseat anyway despite all that. Swann and Scranton dont stand a chance.

I think Swann has a great chance. He will get the Republican vote, a lot of the minority vote, and the entire PITTSBURGH and Western PA vote.

I voted for Rendell last time but he hasnt' done anythign to impress me. Nothing to make me angry but nothing to benefit me either. Bring in the gambling, please. We need the tax break!!!

thrilled that spring is here. let's get this weather warm and start some nite racing!
have ya had a chance to listen to Bubba on Howard 101? every so often he'll talk about sprints. races a sprint down in Florida. found a back issue of 'Sprint Car & Midget' that has an article w/ Bubba, Hulk Hogan and another driver of Jean (or Gene) Lasker. the issue is from Nov 2003.

I went to Lincoln Speedway a handful of times as a youngster and haven't been back (although I always intended to do so). I'm probably moving back to the Philly area soon, so I figure I'll make it to the Lincoln FInancial Center before I make it to Lincoln Speedway.

I'm sure I'll make it to the speedway and get into sprints as soon as I move away.

from Johnstown, home of 3 floods and the movie Slapshot.

Yuengling? Best beer known to man? It's good, but it's not even the best beer in the state. I'll even go as far as to say that it's not even the best beer on that side of the state. Go to Stoudt's (exit 281ish?)and grab a tripple. Very smooth for a 9%

I love that movie. I had no clue it was shot in Johnstown.

How right you are! I'm partial to their Munich-style Gold lager. Stoudt's Brewing is in Adamstown, a couple miles off the PA turnpike's Rt. 222 exit. Anyone within driving distance should call them and find out when the beer garden opens for the spring.

Go there on a Sunday that they roast a pig and you can sit in the sun, enjoying some delicious, fresh beer and have a little roast pig while you're at it. Pick up a loaf of their exceptional breads from the bakery there, too. I like their multigrain bread and the saurkraut rye. They have some kind of antique mall there for people that need to roam.

Downingtown's Victory Brewing makes some great beers like the Victory Hop Devil (I stay away from that nasty Golden Monkey, though), but I never made it to the brewery. And another local good brewery is Lancaster Brewing (I liked the Amish Four Grain Pale Ale and their Milk Stout). I tried two of their beers and they were surprisingly good.

If you look for any of these beers at a local distributor, try make sure that they are fresh. Some distributors aren't shy about selling *almost* turned beer.
