I've been to Boston twice in the last few years. I hate the Red Sox (Angels fan), but I had to go to Fenway Park both times. As historic as the place is, it's a bit of a dump. Didn't matter to me too much. I felt like I was watching old time baseball. Sox lost both times, so I would like to go to more games there!

How about Holyoke (Holy-yoke)?

I live in upstate New York and the Mass border is about 30 minutes away for me. Despite the fact that it's home of the Red Sox, I think MA is OK.

Anybody ever go to a concert at Tanglewood? That place has a calming effect on me. Definately a great place to chill out in the summers!!!

Even though I am Michigan Made, I currently live in Massachusetts. I have been living here since March 2003. The move here from Seattle was a long one, but well worth it. We are now closer to family. And that is what matters.

Most things you hear about Massachusetts are true. Yes, people here drive very offensively (to put it nicely) and yes, that includes me. I have no choice I have to survive. Yes, traffic sucks, all the time!! Yes, there are die hard Red Sox and Patriot fans everywhere (of course, right?). Yes, there are Dunkin' Donuts everywhere!!

I'm glad that I'm here. I am used to it now, but it was a big adjustment for my wife and I.

Let us know how you feel about Massachusetts whether you live here now, have lived here in the past, or have been through.
What understatments, I live in Boston have for the past few years.

few things i happened upon while living here

-the college aged tourist that is usualy solo, that asks you some stupid question about the T and calls it the subway, you ask him what hes looking for because to you, hes obviously lost and he tells you "oh nooo I live here I go to hardvard" yea, you all do.

-i have a theory that they shouldnt allow rental cars. If you don't have someone to show you, you're screwed. Overpasses do not exist. The shoulder is an extra lane and its legal.

-People are not kidding about carrying a baseball bat in their vehicles.

-a hit and run is a right of passage

-going to fall river and coming back into the city and being reall really happy.

-to other people craigslist is just some forum, to boston craigslist is your life line. friends-sex partners-tv-bed-house-roommate-dog-car you want it find it on craigslist boston.

-back to the driving when I first moved here it took me two hours to get from west roxburry to davis square. there wasnt traffic, i was looking for disel cafe on elm street, apparently there are 2.

-Want to find washington street? no problem. Want to find the washington street you are looking for? good luck.

Boston is beautiful though, its so diverse. I am a lesbian so not worrying about holding a girls hand just makes me worry a little less.

Seems to be a lot of us massholes using sirius.

I love that, people from other states can't beleive it... "what are you doing?! You're doing 75 in the breakdown lane!"

Don't worry, it's OK on weekday mornings and evenings. WHAT?!

I have gone to Tanglewood for two graduations. It is nice there except they really should put nicer seats in that auditorium. Im sure for the price people pay for tickets to concerts there they can afford to. Have you seen a firework display there for the 4th of July? Wonder how that is if its anything spectacular.

Hi there!
Born and raised in New Bedford ("Nu-Befid" or "New Beige"), lived in Watertown for 10 yrs, moved to Fairhaven ("Fah-haven") 20 yrs ago, waiting for Howard on Monday but also love Shade45 and a host of other channels.
The Howard schedule is bumming me out though. I can't get Sirius to come in at work (I work 6 AM to 2:30 PM) and the 9 PM EST replay will come on too late for me to hear the whole thing since I have to get up at 4:30 AM for work. Man, what a drag.
