One of the best things about Maine is that it's not Connecticut.

That's a fact!
I'm in a great little town near Augusta and have been in this area all of my life.

Sitting here in a hotel in Biddeford at this moment... Did a drive thru the frozen tundra that is Biddeford Pool & Kennebunkport... Not a whole lot of snow, but everything is frozen!!

Somewhat close. I claim Vienna and Winthrop as my home.

Default Reception Problems in Brewer

Has anyone noticed that there is no reception on Wilson Street in Brewer? i wonder what could cause this. Everytime i drive there the reception goes out. Glad I dont live in that area.

I did notice that too, i thought it was my radio, then i changed radios, and it still did it, i goes out for about a mile, a mile and a half, i think one of the transmitter towers for one of the radio stations might be interfering, but not sure.

I'm in Bangor, love this state and this city, mostly the people as well.

I get tired of hearing someone's 'been to Maine' just to hear they've been to the outlet mall in Kittery. I mean come on, it's not even a 04xxx zip code..

This happens across from Linnehans. There's 2 radio stations that bring in on microwave into there on Wilson street and they also have a low power AM transmitter AT Linnehans. I kind of wonder if maybe one of these situations is causing it. Its well known and happens on every radio most of the time, but I have no idea who to report it to.

On a few occasions since early April, I've had to deadhead all the way up to Easton to pick up a load of French Fries to take to Pennsylvania. That's the furthest north in Maine that I had ever been. Before that the furthest north I had been was around Farmington...

It's nice up there. I couldn't believe how much snow was still piled on the ground, even in April. Some spots must have been six feet high...

Driving up I-95 was great. Seeing Mt. Katandin was cool. All the frozen lakes and bare trees. Just a month and a half later, everything was green and the lakes were unfrozen...

I'd live up there. It's the nicest part of New England, IMHO...
