Default Moderating SBS

I just wanted to let any stragglers here at SBS know that as a moderator here at SBS. I have done everything I could along with Michigan Made and Road Runner to get the forum back up to running at full speed.

In the last 6 or more years I have tried on my part to provide support for new products and make sure the information being posted was as accurate as possible. Many of us have tried to keep the home fires burning and keep excitement here on the forum. The only problem is that when the owner/admin of a forum loses interest this pretty much hampers all ability to move forward. This has happened twice during my time here. Once with Tulane Jeff who eventually sold out to RyanM. I have to admit Jeff was always honest and when he made the decision he was no longer going to be able to do this anymore, he did the right thing. RyanM took over and initially there was a bit of excitement. However, it was quickly lost and the forum has been on a downward spiral ever since.

Most recently Michigan Made, Taylor at TSS and myself made a decision that this community was worth saving, even if we couldn't do anything about the SBS forum. We could put our heads together and try create a new place and return the fun, excitement and liveliness that was once here at SBS. DRC was born as our attempt to give this community a new place to call home. We've expanded the focus to include all digital forms of music, not just Sirius sat radio. We welcome those with iPods, Slacker Players, Pandora/AOL Internet Music listeners, along with XM and Sat Radio subscribers.

I don't plan to resign from SBS, but I won't be here moderating like I once did. If RyanM or the other moderators decide they wants to get this forum back on track then of course given my decision they have every right to demote me. So, I will be here till the lights are turned off. But again I will not be actively moderating because there is just no point in continuing that when the forum owner apparently has no interest in this forum whatsoever.

I have made a lot of friends here and I have enjoyed every moment being here. I never wanted this to happen, but I had to accept the reality that apparently I along with a couple of others were the only ones that cared about this forum and that my friends is truly sad.

Thanks for reading....

DAB, even though we've clashed, I respect the amount of time and love you've put into SBS. This was a special place for a long time thanks in no small part to you. We'll all remember the halcyon days.

See you at the new site.

We've all left and gone to
where the SBS spirit lives on!
