The banning of FrontMed is bad form by Siriusbackstage.

He may not have been popular around here, but he never broke the rules as far as I can tell.

Accept this as my public, "Boo! Hiss!"

Trolling and questioning moderator decisions is a violation of the forum policy.

FrontMed was here to create controversy and was not personally invested in fostering positive discourse, nor was he a fan of the service.

Dissenting opinion is always welcome here, as long as you engage appropriately.

I appreciate your concern, but the decision is final.

Jeff

Smart move. There is nothing wrong in having varied viewpoints - pro and con with Sirius, it is how one conducts themselves and what agenda they have. This board has always, since the begining ( and I've been with it since it started) been fair and allowed constructive criticism, but bashing and just plain baiting does noone any good. If someone did the same thing on XMfan or XM411, the results would be the same, if not even faster than happened here. The moderators do a great job here, and are very tolerant, but there comes a point when enough is enough.

He was not adding anything to the community. If he were adding to the discussion then I would have like to have seen him stay. All of his posts made it clear that he was here to stir things up, I think he wanted to be banned. Constructive criticism of Sirius is one thing, Sirius bashing is another. He will feel more at home at Xm fan.

You want to attempt to publicly undermine a mod without even trying to discuss it privately with the mod and Jeff first, you will be banned. Most moderated forums have the exact same policy. Banning him was not even discussed before that.

I don't know what went on in posts that were removed by mods, but, if FrontMed is gone, I hope Renaissance Man is gone also.

We aren't going to go here... Bottom line is that if folks don't like the decision made, they don't have to post on this forum. Renaissance Man wasn't the problem, the problem however was removed and that is that. Any other topics on this issue will immediately be locked or deleted.
