Default Is it me or does SBS seem awfully slow during peak hours?

I have noticed that getting into threads and posting seems to be very slow during peak hours. Anyone else notice this?

Or could it be my internet connection?

I've noticed the same thing on the new internet connection I have where I am for the week. But at College(TW) and home(Comcast) SBS is still very fast.

There are times it is freaking TERRIBLE. I think Ziggy over at XM411 uses the same provider because his site is just as bad during those same peak times.

I agree. I thought it was my cable connection. I have Charter here in Mass. When I click something it just hangs and hangs. I repair my connection alot to see if that helps. It does sometimes.

I am noticing this from my workplace which is an extremely fast internet connection.

One thing that I see often are cannot connect messages. I think I see this mainly at work which tells me that the connection leaving my network is probably full but I think I have seen it at home, too.

Yes, at certain times the connection and downloading of the graphics is very slow. Sometimes I get a message "connecting" for the longest times. Could it be the server? I know XM411 has it moments also. :\

I notice that alot also. When I try to get into a thread. My internet connection is so slow at home and work! At home I have Cox High Speed Internet, sometimes the speed acts like dial-up.

Default Backstage website is really slow yesterday & today.

For the last two days, I've been noticing that its been really slow going from page to page here... I've tried at three different locations/PCs and it is the same for all (they were all in NJ tho)

Anyone else notice this? I looked thru the thread titles, but noone seemed to mention this problem...

I noticed it today a couple times, and xm411 is being really slow for me too. So I just figured it was my internet connection. SBS has been fine for me lately this morning.

I notice that also today. It takes like 2 minutes to finally load up a page. It like the site almost going to crash. But later on the day it starts to pick up the speed.

Now, as of 12:13 its running much better. I agree, I was clockin to get in. Got refused from work (over VPN) and home (DSL) connections a couple of times (guess I should be working).

Sorry for the lag today. We're working with our host to resolve this. If they can't improve our responsiveness, then we'll chance web providers.
