LOL..that's funny. The Sirius website is terrible when it comes to updating it with current news/info.

Here's the answer from the horses mouth

"This is a great business for us, but it also gives us an opportunity to give Canadian talent a window into U.S., because all those American subscribers will be able to hear them," he explained.

Just read the quote from the article, I posted it above

If you want to know exactly what's going on at Sirius, you have to come here Seriously..... SBS has to be the best source of information there is........

The US website is lacking when it comes to imparting information.. I'm not faulting Sirius.. Designing a perfect web site is no doubt much easier said than done.

I spoke to Sirius' VP of corporate communications today. He stated that there wouldn't be focused PR in the USA when the Canadian channels were added -- that they didn't want to detract attention away from Sirius Canada. Kind of a lame response.

Said VP also wasn't sure if all Canadian channels would be made available on 12/1, but that was the eventual plan.

I am especially looking forward to CBC R1 and RCI's multilingual service. This means there will be three different channels all airing CBC's "Ideas", presuming PRI World still will include it.

rdcuff:

What you say could be true. I'm sure that as far as Sirius USA is concerned they are pissed off at having to give up some channel capacity to appease Canadian regulators. I'm sure they really aren't in the mood to promote Sirius Canada's offerings which will, in the long term, rob Sirus USA of higher revenue generating Grey-Market customers.

It was said in another thread that they planned on rolling out the channels a handful at a time, so we should get the rest soon enough.
