Default USA purchased radio, warranty to Canada problem

I have a huge problem.

I purchased an S50 in the USA, and it just died on me.
I called warranty support and they told me in no uncertain terms that they CAN NOT, under any circumstances, ship outside the United States.

They said that they can not start a claim without me having a physical address within the USA to ship the replacement item to.

Can anyone offer any suggestions/experience that may be helpful in regard to this?

Oh man..........

Where in Canada are you located? Where did you purchase the S50 from?

I purchased the radio online from an authorized Sirius dealer..... but they explicitly told me at the time of purchase that the warranty was supplied by Sirius, except in the case of a DOA replacement. I don't believe contacting them and having them forward me the replacement is a viable option - but I guess I could try contacting them and checking into it as a sort of last resort.

I live near Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

Sirius CSR said it has to be a physical US address.... something that UPS will deliver to - no PO box allowed.

That's why I don't buy anything through Sirius. I only use a P.O. Box.

Wish I could help. I hope you can get it replaced.

You can rent a mail box at a UPS store for $50.00 for three months. That's the min time. That is where I sent my radio's that I purchased online. I am not sure if you can log onto the manage your account section and change your info to a U.S. address. The UPS store is not is not a PO box. You use the store's address as your own and they put the mail into your box by your name that is on file.
