Hi Guys,

I'm expecting delivery of my Stiletto this week. I live on Burnaby Mountain (near SFU) and am wondering if the Vancouver repeater (I believe it's downtown?) reaches that far?

Thanks,

Mark

The repeater is on Mt. Seymour so you should receive the signal.

I live near Metrotown and I have to rely on satellite signals when I'm indoors. So I just stick with Starmate replay.

With Stiletto and at outdoor, I get mix of satellite and repeater signals.

I am really regretting spending the $400 + for the stilleto. It 3pm on Wednesday and once again the thing is useless because the repeater is down.

Thumbs down

I have not had 5 minutes of good reception in the three days I've had the Sportster Replay in my car here in vancouver. I'm ready to take it back to the store.

I haven't been able to find an FM station frequency that doesn't interfere with my satellite reception.

It looks like I'll have to spend more money trying to find an antenna that works.

I'm not really to bothered. Right now my stiletto is packed with 50% full of recorded programs and MP3.

btw, i was using stiletto after 4pm around westend, works pretty well.

I received my Stiletto yesterday. It activated without any problems. I got 2 bars from the repeater all through my 3 storey house in Burnaby Mountain. I was really surprised because my house is built with metal studs and most of my fm radios do not have good reception here. Got 2 to 3 bars as I was driving to work - I just placed the antenna on the dash. The only disappointing thing is the FM transmitter on the car dock - too weak.

I also got 2 bars from the repeater in my office (North Vancouver). Didn't really have any problems today.

Surprisingly, the wifi reception seemd a bit weaker than the reception using the repeater signal - I have one of those Linksys wireless routers with "boosted" signals and don't have any problems with my other wireless devices.

After almost 2 days, I'm really happy with the Stiletto.

I had not signal until about 5:30 pm this afternoon. Maybe the "wind" storm? Pretty lame that a bit of wind kills the signal.
