Unhappy Vancouver repeater problems?

Has anyone noticed problems with the repeater in Vancouver? Both of my radios have been crapping out today. Anyone else have this problem?

I thought I was the only one when it kept dropped out of signals on Monday.

Tuesday was better, however.

Default Signal dropout Toronto

I lost my signal for quite awhile on Tuesday... never had an issue before. My guess is that Sirius was goofing around with something and they don't want to publicly say that they had some troubles....

They are "goofing around" again today (Saturday). Very frustrating.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. Normally I get perfect coverage in the middle of my house with no antenna, but today (and a few days this past week) the signal has been on and off.

Very annoying. Think it's the crazy weather of the past couple of weeks?

Could be the wind on Mt. Seymour where the repeater tower is...

Angry

The repeater is cutting out again this weekend. It will drop out every 5 minutes for about 30 seconds. My Stiletto is basically useless! SO FRUSTRATING!

Angry Vancouver area installers

I just bought the Sirius Starmate 4 at London Drugs. The outside of the box says professional installation not required.

Then when you open the instruction manual they recommend that you go to a professional installer.

I'm not into mechanical stuff so when the instructions start talking about about placing the antenna on the roof and running the wires into the trunk my eyes start glazing over.

Where can i get this thing installed on the North Shore or downtown?

I got my sportster replay installed at Ralph's on Main Street (in Vancouver). http://www.ralphsradio.com/

Default Sportster installation

Thanks

I called Ralph's and they said they only install products purchased in their store

Too bad. They did a great job.

My only suggestion is to stay away from Best Buy and Future shop. I have heard horror stories about their installations

Smile Vancouver installation

I just got it installed at Performance Car Stereo in North Vancouver. They had a technician available immediately.. Cost me $100 plus tax.

What fequency do you have your radio set at?
I'm at 88.1 and there is a lot of interference from a religious station.

I have mine hard wired into my system. (using the AUX input). I tried the FM modulator and it doesn't work very well in the city. I found there was too much interference from other people's FM modulators.

Sorry, I meant no antenna extended. I have a Sportser Boombox in the middle of my kitchen nowhere near a window. The antenna on the boombox is obviously attached, just not extended or anything. My assumption is that the reception is strictly from the repeater.

I too noticed poor reception here and there this weekend.
