Surprisingly decent rock music on there. I'm not big on religious messages in songs or bands with an agenda so it'll never be one of my presets or faves, but I've heard some good sounding stuff on there.

Maybe I'll get into these bands, go to a Christian festival and try to take advantage of some of them there Catholic virgins........Ok I know....A little too much information.

Default Loving it (for the most part)

This *genre* has been my favorite since grade school, and the lack of a Christian rock station was the only thing making me lean from Sirius to the darkX sideM. I think it's great that Sirius added this, and I hope it gets enough support to justify keeping around. My only complaints so far are the limited play list (which sounds like it's being extended regularly), the lack of the personal touch some DJs might bring, and some of the choices in the playlist. I may get drummed out for this, but U2, Creed, Lifehouse, and Altar Bridge do NOT qualify as Christian rock bands in my book. They're too fruity and vague, both in their statements and in their lyrics to have around. These bands coming on are the only thing that prompt me to fire up a CD for a while till the good music starts again.

Actually Lifehouse has signed a Christian deal. They are played on every Christian Channel in the country now. But I agree with you about Creed and U2. I even heard Coldplay on there they are certainly not a Christian band. Note to Sirius....Take Coldplay OFF Revolution!

I can live with Creed being on there because of the Christian symbolism in many of their songs. But Im for taking U2 off along with Coldplay.

That's cool info re: Lifehouse. I'll have to listen for their new material. I agree about Coldplay too - absolutely NO place on a Christian station. Wrong genre, wrong message. I keep Project86's new CD ready to play whenever they come on.

Post Revolution 67

I've e-mailed Sirius twice about removing songs from Creed, U2, and Coldplay. I like their music, but if I want to listen to them I can tune into the other stations that play their music. I just don't think they fit the Revolution genre. Frankly, I'm just not that interested in listening to bands that everybody knows of. I like to hear new and undiscovered Christian rock bands. That's why I listen to channel 67. I really like everything else they play on this station.

If you feel the same way, I suggest e-mailing Sirius to let them know. We can make it better if we voice our opinion.
