WOW, what a post! How long did it take for you to do all this research? What happened when you sent this info to Sirius? Did you just get one of those form emails back? Thanks for all the time you put into it.

I've been watching this thread and have found it very interesting. I wasn't too concerned until they completely ruined roadhouse with continious Christmas music. But then all of a sudden I had this great flash run through my mind. I'm thinking they shut the stream down and when it comes back after Christmas it will be bigger and better than ever. Of course my alternative is WSM w/commercials or Outlaw country. But, they need to get rid of Bruce Springsteen since he has his own stream and the rest of the rock and make it real country. Then clean up the profanity of DJs. I'm no prude but I sure don't like to listen to people like MoJo. What a filthy mouth. I was listening to Outlaw with MoJo and my 9 year granddaughter was visiting and I just had to turn it off.

I like WSM. It's kind of hard to get used to commercials again, though. I find myself listening to Frank's Place or America on XM on my dish, too. That just became available a week and a half before the switch to Christmas music.

in my opinion yall have a lot of knowledge and understanding of country music

couple of questions
Phill .. how do you maintain your playlist

does anybody have actual knowledge of where/how Sirius gets their music ?
do they really buy CDs or what .. obviously they cant play a song if they
dont have it

they really dont play that many songs in total, if they didnt have any repeats
most likely you would never hear the song you wanted to hear
unless you listened 24 hours a day

how do they pick which songs to play?? seems like each SJ just plays what
he/she likes

seems like it would be to Sirius's advantage to be more responsive to
what the customers wanted to hear

I dont have a lot of major complaints about what they play or dont play
but .... they surely could add a lot more songs though

in my opinion I think they should have more country chans

I could be wrong but I think they have too what the boss says and then they can take some requests. I called up before to hear songs and listed for 5 hrs with no song!! So I have not clue how they do it? I know my I-Pod Has a little over 1,500 Country tunes and there all hits to me. Dono why sirius can't do something like that or maybee I should just let them to there thing and listen to my I-pod.
