Default siruis radio vs tv

hi guys just wanted to ask a basic question

do you find yourself tuning into the radio for music rather than watching tv since purchasing your sat radio.

Strangely... YES.

Other than football and a couple of TV shows that I like, I listen to Sirius at work, in the car, while working around the house, while excercising.. pretty much all the time except for a little bit of TV before bed.

I was thinking about this topic.. If I was given the choice, give up cable/sat or sirius.. It would be a tough call. I'd have to keep cable/sat for football season, but for the rest of the year, I'd rather keep sirius and use use an antenna for the occasional TV show.

TV really is an idiot-box. You have to sit there and stare at it. Sirius is entertaining alongside whatever else you happen to be doing.

i agree i would rather surf the web and tune into music, and other than watch a football game or sport event anything on tv now can be rented with net flix in time.

After work, I tend to spend an hour or two playing video games and drinking some beers- I've started listening to Sirius while playing. I usually stream Bubba's show while playing. After, I generally cook and have Sirius in the background while cooking. If a girl is over, I'll do like Coffeehouse or Spa, if it's just me, Stern replays, backspin or Lithium.

I usually don't listen to sirius in the house. The only time i tend to listen to it in home, is if i'm not watching TV, and i'm either cleaning, or doing other stuff when i'm not in one place.

Since theres only a few shows I watch during the week, I like to stream Sirius when Im on the computer or lifting. I wanna get one of those in home wirless repeaters so I can listen when I go to bed. I freaking love my Sirius.

You could almost say we've come full circle. Back in the day, before tv, people would gather around the radio to listen to their favorite shows. Now with Sirius, I'd rather just listen to shows on the radio instead of watching tv.

I listen to Sirius in the car, at work, at the gym, and while doing things around the house. That said, I don't really watch TV except for my guilty-pleasure cartoons (South Park, Family Guy, American Dad) and sports.

Less TV for me in general, but i watch a few shows with the sound on, like Cops. I watch plenty of sports now that I have cable again, but with the sound down, and Sirius up. Multitasking is the way I fly.

The TV is on with little or no sound. SIRIUS is what I listen too while I "watch" TV. On football days I keep a S50 on to look at the scores while I listen to SIRIUS with my Stiletto with the TV on a game.

OK, I admit it, I am addicted.

Exactly, I tend to to get more things done around the house or garage when listening to satellite radio and not watching TV.

I much prefer playing on the internet while listening to good radio (music or talk) then watching the idiot box. I have my favorite shows and sports, but more often then not I'm chilling away from the television.

I totally cancelled my TV package ,at $57/month,all I get is stupid pop up advertisements (most annoying FRANK TV),I figured I could just watch DVDs,listen to sirius,or rhapsody music service instead.Tv just is not worth anything to me anymore.First they started with the channel logos, then the weather warnings, then advertisements.BAH !who needs it!
TV = waste of time and money.
