AMEN!!!!! Super Shuffle is one of my favorites. It's like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get. But seriously, it is a great station and one that the wife and I can agree on.

E-Street - bleh. While I like Bruce, i've never listened nor do I care to..... Guess I'll have to send an e-mail to Sirius about this.

Would be a pretty darned brilliant plan if they were indeed thinking that far ahead. 113 as Special Broadcast could also fall into that category.

Well the logo for Punk is on there, so keep your fingers crossed. The Lithium logo is the same as currently appears on my S50.

I think Planet Jazz was replaced by Disorder, so my guess is that it's gone!

10 is there, it's just listed under Rock and not Pop

Based on the guide, Area 33 will be Area 38 and Boombox 34 will be Boom Box

I wonder how all of this will effect channel presets on our receivers.

Well, you will almost certainly need to update your presets. Pretty small price to pay, IMHO...

DOH! They arent separated...just listed twice...ie 149 is both Boston and Philly...looks the same as the current line-up.

Good catch! Same with E-Street listed under rock. So much for the extra bandwidth...

Sigh... why can't I just be 100% HAPPY when I get news like this.

I am very HAPPY the Bridge will be back on my radio. I am not Happy that Super Shuffle will only be on-line however... At least I can still enjoy it at work and at home on my PC...

So good news for all the Bridge fans finally!!! Took Sirius long enough to get the hint!

Now lets just kill the E Street Radio entirely and get Super Shuffle back on again too!

And the interesting part in this update... NOT ONE NEW MUSIC STATION... The only new additions are in the Sports and Talk categories... Has Sirius forgotten what is got started on???

Just out of curiosity, what kind of new music channels would you like to see?

Thumbs up

While I like the SuperShuffle, I use it as a substitute for the Bridge. I am very happy with this move. I think channel 10 will likely become the single artist channel that several have been suggested.

And kudos to Sirius to FINALLY biting the bullet and fixing their lineup.

Not at all happy about Super Shuffle being internet only. Hard to listen in my work vehicle which is where my radio is. Looks like there will be another Canadian sports channel. Wonder how it will be different from Hardcore Sports and who will produce it?

I know it's a little nitpicky, but did they really have to MOVE that many channels around? I have the sirius lineup basicaly memorized. Most radios have the ability to sort by sports league and game so why do they need to put a bunch of virtual channels (I'm assuming that's what the new sports block is gonna be, they can't be wacky enough to broadcast each game twice) and force a bunch of other channels to move

I just can't wait to see how many of these channels will lose their logos on the S100 either.

Funk/Old Skool, Classic Soul (50s-60s), Urban Slow Jamz/Neo Soul ( none of these are covered on Sirius urban catgegory- and they used to when I first got Sirius in 2002). Right now Sirius has Heart & Soul an Urban Adult Contemporary channel covering best of today and a sprinkling of yesterdays soul hits (80s 90s), and Soul Town which is mid 60s to late 70s Soul Classics. No early soul, no neo soul, no funk, no slow jamz. Huge hole in the programming, even ask the PD for urban music at Sirius , he agrees.

They still share channels, if you look in that new channel guide some of them have the same channel numbers next to them.
EDIT: Just noticed someone elsepointed this out, sorry

http://www.sirius.com/channelchange

They probably calculated how much it will cost to fix all the OEM car receivers that crash on channel updates.
Or, perhaps, this update is crafted in such a way as to protect those receivers from crashing.
They can't even change the channel list without taking the receiver off the air for 5 minutes and crashing thousands of OEM receivers!!

Does anyone still think the new XM/Sirius is going to keep the Sirius platform around for long?
It's so fragile it's frightening.
