Check the FAQ about the sports block.
They're virtual channels that point to the pre-empted channels.
So, E! and half the damn talk channels will still pre-empt but at least you'll be able to find the games now.

This is a long overdue change, that SOME of us suggested LOOOOOOOOONG ago, once it became obvious that the infrastructure supported shadow/virtual channels.

For all of the Super Shuffle fans......here's a way you can still have it:

Pick a random music channel. When the song ends, change to another random music channel. Keep repeating and you've created your very own Super Shuffle!

Enjoy! : )-

Ha ha, clever. If only it worked that way!

And to an earlier post... What other types of music would I enjoy? Well let's see... how about all 40s/Big Band, dedicated 90s only, bring back Vacation (tropical music)... for starters...

DeeDee, give me a HUG!!! It's coming Back, you think they don't read this forum.

You damn right they do and the reason its coming back is because of all of you that have stayed on this cause.

Thank You!

Moving Shuffle to the Internet is a good move rather than just doing away with it. I know there are those that like Shuffle, but having the Bridge back is BETTER!!!

I love how the new "Virtual Channels" in the sports lineup won't work on the SL-10 and the SL-100.

I agree, this a great change and major overhaul that was badly needed. I am really glad they blocked similar channels near each other, it was about damn time. I happy for the Bridge to come back for the all the folks that seemed to miss it so badly. As far a Super Shuffle. I know that there are a few that miss it, but really how can one go from Black Eyed Peas followed by the Rolling Stones? Jack FM is proving to be a failed format on FM radio, so it's no suprise Sirius cut it. It's still on line for those who need it.

I, for one, think this is the best update Sirius has done in the 3 years I've been a subscriber.

My only gripe is why not just scrap the traffic channels all together. I've tried to use them in several cities probably a hundred times, never helped, not one single time. IMHO they are a worthless waste of bandwidth. Use the bandwidth to upgrade SQ a bit or add a couple niche music channels.

It was worth every email, phone call's and a lesson's learned from all of the "Fan's of the Bridge" that have been here more then once like myself.

NEVER GIVE UP ................. Really COOL word's....................

Gotta love that "Eskimo Radio" !

(If you listened to Stern this morning in the 6 AM hour, you'll get the reference.)

113 Specialty Special Occasion Programming and Sports Play-by-Play

Could this be the holiday music channel? Halloween themed songs, Christmas themed songs, and so forth??

Lithium is a good start, but an all 90's channel would be good.

FCC requires the traffic channels?

YESSS!!!! The Bridge is coming back! I can finally get rid of my avatar and sig. (But, I'm not gonna do it until I actually see the change happen.) I was just thinking within the last few days that I was going to just cancel my Sirius because I really haven't been listening to it that much.

What happened to Sirius' excuse that the channel names were all messed up because there was a technical problem. I guess that was all just BS until they figured out what they were actually going to do with the lineup. Liars!!

I still can't believe that E-Street is going to be around until next year!! Who the fuck is demanding this?! Get rid of it - it's been waaaaaaayyy too long!!!!!!

http://www.sirius.com/pdf/channelguide062408.pdf

Why don't they just move channels 84-86 under the Latin/International category on the guide? It would make much more sense.
