Default Satellite Radio Forums Gather Consumer Opinions

Satellite Radio Forums Gather Consumer Opinions
XMFan.com, SiriusBackStage.com, SatRadioTalk.com

A number of consumers and fans of satellite radio have gradually gathered in three popular online forums to talk about their experiences with the new satellite technology: XMFan.com, SiriusBackStage.com and SatRadioTalk.com. And, for retailers, this is a gold mine of information.

To become a member of each forum, Web surfers must register a user name and password. Once the registration is complete, the forums are open to posting and discussion.

XMFan.com, developed by Ryan Morris, a freelance Web designer, has become a very popular forum for fans of XM Satellite Radio. The forum holds contests, programming specific discussions and a number of other features that XMers enjoy. XMFan.com has also made it possible for members to send XM DJs music requests.

"XMFan.com launched on Aug. 15 with the goal of being the premier XM discussion site," said Morris. "Since then, the site has grown into a portal of information and exclusive content. The focus for the site now is to bring our community closer to the staff at XM Satellite Radio."

SiriusBackStage.com is looking to become to Sirius what XMFan is to XM - the place for Sirius Satellite Radio discussion. The Sirius forum offers members pertinent photos, updated news and information, and much more.

"SiriusBackstage.com started as a meager Web site to host photos from the Sirius service launch in Jackson, Miss. in February," said Jeff Hinson, founder of SiriusBackStage.com and student at Tulane University. The site steadily "evolved into the No. 1 Sirius fan portal, news, information and discussion destination."

SatRadioTalk.com offers members a more broad satellite radio approach. It features general satellite radio discussions, XM discussions and Sirius discussions. As a part of DBSTalk.com, a forum for satellite TV fans, SatRadioTalk.com is a place, like its predecessors, for consumers to exchange opinions.

Thanks for reading. I just got my Sirius system last week and I love it. Once I get accustomed to the programming, I'll post more reaction.
