I voted sounds better then FM it sounds way better then any fm station around here. Plus you never get that annoying FM static.

At home I got the orbitor reciver docked in the orbitor boombox. When I am on the go it is the Xact XTR1 Unit in the Stream Jockey power pod unit Sirius goes with me wherever I go.

Yeah, it sounds better. First thing that you notice is that it's a crystal clear sound -- as in, no static.

Default AUX sound better than FM hands Down

I have a Pioneer HU with all aftermarket CerwinVega Speakers 4" Dash, 6" Door, 8"Back, with 2 nickel plated 12" pioneer subs. Subs run of one amp other speakers are bridged to run of another amp.

I have a PNP Sportster and it sound way better Direct Connect through AUX than over FM but, I still think the quality could be better, as a CD or SACD sound way better that the Sportster even when connected directly.

Is this just a limitation of the PNP models? As my car has high end equipment. I can’t tell the difference in the house through a Yamaha Home Theater setup and it is using the same PNP and docking cradle.

Also notice some channels are better than other channels, for Ex Ch 1 Sirius hits 1 sound better (about equivalent to a 224bit rate MP3) where as Ch 2 Octane dose not sounds quite as good (about 160 bit Rate MP3)

Has anyone else notice anything like this, as I can here the difference and it drives me a little crazy, or is it just a way to keep me buying them crazy scratchable CD's [lol]

Mine sounds better in the car. I have the factory nav/sirius setup.

At home I have 2 home kits with one PNP. One of the home kits is conected to the RCA inputs on my Denon and the other is connected to an FM transmitter for reception around the house. The FM transmitter isn't as good as a strong FM radio station and the Denon direct connect is about the same.
