Default Sirius in Canada

HI

I am going to be driving to Toronto, Canada next week, from the detroit area, I assume the sirius signal covers the area that far south in canada, also, am I allowed to bring my sirius radio across the border? I assume that I am, but not really sure what the rules are internationally.

thanks

I was in the Sherebrooke area for a month last year and it worked great. I had no issues crossing the border with it and the signal strength was great.

I live in the toronto region and it works great. In fact my brother drove to north bay(4 hrs north of toronto) and it worked great. I lent my radio to my mom when she went to ottawa and it worked flawlessly. You dont get the repeater but all in all the satellite signal is full.

Sirius will work fine for you in Canada.
Do a search on it & you'll see.
As for bringing it with you across the border I wouldn't think you would have any troubles, but then it's been 20+ yrs since I've been within 300 miles of it.

I've travelled across the border numerous times with my Sirius receiver located right in the front window and never had any problems.

I purchased a second tuner on a visit to the u.s. last year and declared it when I cleared Canada Customs on the return trip. All they said was, "Cool, I've heard of those. Have a nice day."

Nothing to worry about. I'm sure most of the agents that work at the actual border crossings already have one. A lot of them have DTV & Dish.
