Default ItsonSirius is awesome

Jeremy,

Thank you for this awesome software package. I had seen it before (through this forum), but did not download it for reasons unknown to me at this time.

I just downloaded it over the weekend at home and except for the first time it is run, I have had no problems with it. I love how you can see the song on another channel prior to switching so you know if you want to go to that channel before hitting the button.

I also like the save song feature. This truly has brought the Sirius PNP/tuner experience to the computer with tons of features.

I also like the search feature on the site. I took and tested it out to see how many times songs are being repeated on the stations I listen to. Although it happens sometimes, it seems that it is not as much as some say and if they do repeat, the average is around 4 hours or more apart.

(Forgot one thing)----I do not know much about computer language, but I can imagine it took a ton of time to create this so that all of the songs are listed, then saved into a database for searching later...I love it.---

Thanks again.

Doug

Default The Cats Meow

I too just recently stumbled across this wonderful program. It works better than my PNP tuner (well all most) as I spend a lot of time on my computer at work.
I to, had a hiccup the first time I installed it and ran it, The icon in the system tray (by clock) kept disappearing even though the music would keep playing, I eventually got into the options and selected a different Icon now it always works and shows up fine.

My favorite function (I wish my PNP did this) is you can specify only an Artist in the S-Seek area so now I can here when any song is beeing playing by the Doors, Pink Floyd or Supertramp.

Hats Off, Thanks for the Program

P.S. Now I just have to figure out how to add a USB port to my Sportster PNP unit sometime.

Default ItsOnSirius ROCKS -but a question, por favor...

Question about this program: I downloaded it and started ti flip thru channels, but after changing it 10 times, I got a message that some others have: "Exceeded maximum # of logins", and I couldn't use it again until after 12:01 the next calendar day.

Rather than just post looking for help, I read thru all the postings and found that others with the same trouble never found a resolution, and that Jeremy, the dude behind the program, had never gotten that bug worked out. If he's still out there reading the forums, maybe he could let us know if he's ever been able to bypass this.

For now, I'm just gonna keep it on Buzzsaw....

I ran in to this today myself at work. I would constantly check the songs on the other channels so that I could set the memory seek feature and I ran into the max logins. I tried some of the other solutions (clear cookies, etc.), but was unsucessful, so I had to listen in quite the rest of the day (which stunk).

Jeremy, I hope you are still listening and have found a solution to this because this is the best damn software I have found out there.

Have a great day

Default Lock out here too

I decided to try switching stations up to 10 times
I got to about 7 (must have changed channels a couple times before) then I as well have locked my self out of the online streaming, even through the real Sirius online player. I sure do home it clears out tomorrow so I don’t actually have to call in to get it reset.
It seems that every time you switch to a new channel with the (itsOnSiriusplayer) it resends the login information.

I can defiantly see why Sirius dose this as if usernames where shared they could loose potential customers, although I don’t know how Sirius generates revenue when customers subscribe to Dish network and get there radio.

I guess its back to the crappy online player for now, Hope a fix is in the future.

Jeremy is one of this site's developers and a moderator here but unfortunately he has said in another post that he has too much on his plate right now to fix the problem. If you try SiriusXPlay or Siriusly you will see that these programs are not affected by the "maximum logon" error and have the same functionality as It'sOnSirius with a different interface.

I use Siriusly and I highly recommend it.

Default Trying Them

Well I just tried both Siriusly and SiriusXPlay and I would have to say that siriusly is much better as it will let you know who is playing on all the channels. ItsOnSIRIUS is still the best one all around and for S-Seek as you can manually add your tunes you want to here without hearing it.
Siriusly is just like the IR’s and you have to wait till the actual song plays. As for siriusXplay it dose not support s-seek at all although the GUI is appealing.
If uses could manually add there own s-seeks to siriusly it would be much better. I will stick with this one for now. I guess

Yeah, Xplay is lacking a bit right now. It was never really "finished" so to speak. I have said that things probably won't get done until perhaps this winter as I spend quite a bit of time out of doors during the summer/fall. So perhaps check out Xplay again later in the year
