Default Monday Night Football No Ads

Tonight is the first night of the preseason for MNF. It is the hall of fame game and a lot of people are watching this. I have not seen one sirius commercial or even a banner of some sort in the stadium. What are they thinking? They need to advertise this or subs will never go up. Football is huge and watching the game tonight you would not even know sirius was associated in any way with the nfl. Get with it sirius.

A lot of people are watching it yes. But, I'd rather them spend their money on when MORE people would be watching. I'm sure we'll see some ads although Sirius hasn't announced any.

I noticed that myself. Maybe they need to create a better Prmotions department.

To be honest the company has spent a crap load of cash I'm not sure they can really afford to advertise much NFL time is very expensive. I'm not sure how much they got from last years commercials but I'm guessing if they are not doing them this year then it might not have been worth it.

Sirius didn't advertise on pre-season games last year. Once the regular
season starts I'm sure Sirius will be advertising on Monday Night Football.

You said 'I'm not sure how much they got from last years commercials"

Well Sirius subscribers doubled during the NFL season last year.

End of Q2 subscribers 480k - End of Q4 - 1,140M subscribers.

I would say the NFL brought them a ton of SUBS.

I love the NFL, but it's hard to say how much it has benefitted Sirius. I'm sure they've done surveys on it. Remember that XM too has increased rapidly with a pretty sorry sports schedule (pre-MLB).
