I guess I could be wrong. I thought that the fee was dropped.

I just signed up for Sirius, been lurking around here for a while and been looking at satellite radio for a few months now. I also signed up for the lifetime plan, but what concerns me, is that when I activated it online, it said the plan was for the life of the receiver, not the subscriber, which is fine, but it makes no mention of the 3 replacement units @ $75 ea.

Not that I'm too concerned, as long as I get 4 - 5 years out of the subscription, I'll be happy. My Sportster Replay is all I will ever need for a while, until they start coming out with units that have an MP3 player, MP3 recording and storage, GPS functionality, and more local traffic all in one unit. I don't forsee that in the very near future. The Rego comes cloase, but no GPS and traffic reporting is not "localized" enough.

Slayerboy to SBS and the

Don't forget that your 2nd - 4th radio are just $6.99 a month, so if a cool radio comes out that you just got to have you could pay the $75 to transfer your lifetime or you could just add a 2nd radio.

Thanks dude!

I can't stop listening to the music! I can't tell you how fed up I was with local music radio stations that I started listening to talk just so I wouldn't get bored from hearing the same old junk every day. I'm so stuck on Hard Attack, Octane, Hair Nation, BuzzSaw, Faction, and Alt Nation that I haven't even explored anything else yet! I did set up a game alert for the Buffalo Bills, and when they were playing, it let me switch right to the channel and it showed the score too! Dude! I'm friggin LOVIN this!

So you say it is true, that you can switch receivers up to 3 times for the $75 charge each time with the lifetime plan, right? SHWEEEEET!

I can't wait for stern to come on, maybe by then I'll be sick of listening to metal all day and all night (besides work and sleep) that I'll wanna hear someone talk more than 2 minutes by the time he comes! I doubt it.

OH! And, I'm still trying to get used to hearing dj's outright swear and talk about everything and anything, espcially the girl on Octane. DAMN!

Hey, the FCC can't touch Satellite, right?

Thanks for the help everybody. I'm leaning towards the 2 year plan for the simple fact that the programming and service might not be guaranteed in the future. Maybe later on down the line I'll switch over to lifetime. I've had my radio for over a year, so I'm not worried (at least as much as I should be) about burning out the unit.
