Aw.. that's not really necessary, is it? Does anyone find him amusing? Who is going to take fitness advice from him (he's out of shape) and who's going to think he's entertaining (he's annoying).

The only time i find that dude amusing is when he used to to on the Howard Stern show and they would make fun of him for being so... shall we say, flamboiant.

I'm all for it since he does have a topic that millions of people care about and it sounds like it will be a call in format.

Didn't he jump the shark 20 years ago? I really can't imagine listening to Richard Simmons for three hours a day (or three hours a month, for that matter), but I'm guessing he'll be one of the channels that no one listens to anyway (my guess: Wisdom or the Women's Channel).

Yeah, that'd be good. Stick him on Martha Stewart Channel. Even there, I don't think he'll last.

I think some would naturally assume OutQ would be the best channel to put him on, but I distinctly remember hearing Jay Thomas mentioning that Richard does not admit to his homosexuality.

Well that would explain why I've been seeing more times in the last few days than I have in years...

Why would he have a radio show? He's got one of the most annoying voices in the world, and the people who seem to like him are more likely to be visually impressed by his short shorts ensemble and robin williams like mania...

I know years ago on Howard Stern, Richard Simmons was completely insulted that Howard was saying that he was gay...

Can you be flamboyant and heterosexual?

Like Martha and Howard, another content signing that potential Sirius customers will either love or hate.

I don't see why all of the negative posts. It's only 3 hours a week, and diversifies Sirius's content even more. That's what is appealing about satellite radio, is there is something for everyone. He may not be my cup of tea, but evidently he is many others based upon his successes. When recordable devices become prevalatent, all of this specialty talk programming takes on even more value since it will be easier to capture the stuff you are interested in.
