You almost sound as if you are defending FM here Netzy. I traveled with a friend that did not have Sat Radio on a 2 hour round trip a couple of weekends ago and I too heard some of the same songs played over a couple of times.

You don't have to listen to FM to know what they are playing.. GEEZ, its not rocket science, after all most of us came from FM... do you think its changed?

That same buddy took this trip with me this past weekend and he is telling me this weekend... He is getting Satellite Radio installed.

If you compare Sirius and FM to sex, Sirius is a good looking woman and FM is a handjob.

what if you're getting a handjob from an average looking woman and a drink thrown in your face from the good looking one?
which one would be better then?

Other posters correctly understood that I meant sex with a good looking woman and a self-administered handjob.

Sorry you were a little slow catching on.

gotcha... just got a little confused being that I usually pay for a handjob.... A self andministered handjob is usually referred to as "scrapping" or "squeezing one out"

I listen to FM once in a while at work to hear a local morning show I enjoy. But other wise, I would rather leave the radio off when I am in my Fiancee's car. Need to get her a new radio so I can wire my sirius tuner to it.

I put my boombox on my night stand once I discovered that the PNP2 can work as an alarm clock...

Now if only it could switch from The Bridge or Chill (the two best streams for sleeping) to BBC Radio One without any intervention...

I've been living off FM for the last month or so.

It's not that bad. But I now live in a much bigger city than I used to, so I have approximately 9 stations that I can listen to instead of 3.

Default its like FM is dead aready

Fm is like cassette tape when everyone switched to cds.Its old technology and put it right next to the 8 track cause its going out of style fast.
Sirius blows away FM especially here in NYC area where the FM stations just outright sXXX.check this 93.1 spanish,94.7 some old man singing about jesus,95.5 lame girl music,96.3 classical with free picketfencing and loads of commercials that I couldnt stand it anyhow.97.1 gangsta hip hop with free bad taste Tsunami songs and the such,97.9 spanish again,98.7 old dried out R and B,99.1 jesus music again,100.3 teeny bopper hits and gangsta rap,101.1 Jack, well you know his attitude,102.7 disco playing the same exact songs everyday.103.5 starting to get hip hopish like the rest of the dial,104.3 classic rock same 20 songs an hour,105.1 hey guess what its hip hop again! 106.7 office music same 8 songs everyday,107.5 old hip hop .So you see in NY you got the pick, hip hop, Jesus or burned out crap. And 20 minute commercial breaks.aww darn I forgot 87.9 -91.9 spanish pirates and really bad college stations playing music thats unbearable. Now you know what you have. Sirius takes a leak on NY radio!

I would take it a step further and say that FM is a handjob that leaves you without the happy ending.

You are a hell of a lot more gracious than I am. I think it is not only bad it down right sucks. For the low cost of Sirius and XM, I can't imagine living off FM EVER again. If I had to skip a few other extra in my life every month to cover my subscription, I'd do that much quicker than I would give it up. You seem to periodically drop your subscriptions for whatever reason.

So right now you don't have XM or Sirius?

I can't stand having FM penetrate my ears now. The job that I had over the summer had me travelling to many different offices throughout the week. Most of the time I got to listen to Sirius through my laptop but every Friday, I had to be in this cubicle with this chick that had her radio stuck on our local top 40 station. On top of how bad the music was repeated (once heard "Sugar" 9 times in 6 hours), every Friday they had a psychic that took callers. Ugh talk about unbearable!

Just to make it a little worse, I could hear a radio from another cubicle that was playing an oldies station. That is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Well I feel better now

No one here listens to Stern? I admit I do, but that's the only time I listen to FM.
