Your inability to respond to my points with anything but an appeal to ridicule is noted.

Hey we can both disagree on things without the hostility that's all I'm saying, keep it light. American's gotta learn that, we can disagree without you needing to "bomb" me ;-)

I'm not so much complaining as in "forcefully suggesting". Kind of like how the US Army wasn't illegally invading another country they were "liberators" ;-)
No, you're just a run-of-the-mill griper.

Alleged forceful suggestions do absolutely no good, when nobody at this site has the power to act on those suggestions.

So you're still spitting in the wind, something which isn't very bright for a self-proclaimed intellectual like yourself to be doing.

So you're still just a whining hyper-nationalist with a bone to pick about the USA, Sirius and just about anything else American.

By the way, Einstein, millions of Americans opposed and still oppose the invasion of Iraq. I'm surprised a great intellectual like yourself hasn't picked up on that fact yet, especially considering that its been heavily reported in print and broadcast media around the world for about the last two and a half years.

Well I wouldn't consider myself a nationalist, I'm a citizen of the world. Nationalism is actually one of the worst forms of identity a person can have. My feeling is that it's merely a construct designed by the elites of nation states in an attempt to create an artificial common identity between rich and poor that would not otherwise exist. This helps convince the masses that somehow the interests of the elites in their own nation state are the same as their own, which of course is not true.

But you are right, I have to admit I have a bone to pick with the USA. Why am I a subscriber to Sirius? An appropriate motto is: "know thy enemy".

Keep posting BS and I'm going to zing you. Don't get paranoid, I've zinged several Americans the month or so I've been at SBS.

I've got nothing in the world against Canada or the average Canadian citizen, unlike the hard-on you've obviously got for most things American.

Roger that, and happily so.

I'm not the one who turned it into a "bash America and Sirius" fest.

It's not nice to go back and edit your posts to add more of your irrelevant BS and name-calling, after the moderator has told everybody to cease and desist .

I never said you couldn't complain about poor audio quality, nor did I say you must like Sirius.

I simply pointed out that you're spitting in the wind, if you think your incessant whining, anti-American rants and blatant lies are going to improve sound quality on Sirius.

So quit acting daft and get a life.

Not trying to feed the argument here, but as far as radio and standards go; I certainly don't prefer Canadian radio. I think it should be totally up to the owners on how the station is programmed, and the government should have NO say in that area whatsoever. The Canadian Content laws that require a certain percentage of Canadian performers to be played on stations is the DUMBEST piece of junk I've ever heard of. Talk about elitist B.S. Let the people decide what they want to hear (not by some dumb government rule). That's why I could care less if Sirius or XM enter Canada at all. There is no need to try and "comply" with this stupid content rule and cut other channels to do so. My feeling can easily be summed up this way; I say Sirius and XM should offer their service AS IS to Canada and if they want it then forget their dumb rules and take it, or if you don't then come up with your own satellite radio company. Sirius and XM sacrificing bandwith and channels for dumb, government mandated programming that no one will listen to anyway, is stupid. I would actually be very happy if the Canadian government overturned their decision and didn't approve either Sirius or XM. Then we could forget about adding more French channels and junk and add more channels that someone will actually give a crap about. (or hey, even improve sound on the ones we have for some of you. Hey, I'm back on topic )
Anyway, not trying to be harsh, but I certainly don't agree with the idea of government content laws and I don't agree with Sirius or XM having to abide by them.

I really liked how someone said that us complaining about sound quality and wanting it changed was like "a whining child".

Tell you what, I'm going to troll every thread concerning "censorship" and post a response to everyone complaining about censored songs, telling them they should cancel the service and quit whining like a child.

No difference in what I'm seeing here.

Then I'll tell them how censored songs don't seem to bother me, it's good enough for me, so it should be good enough for everybody. I'll tell them how I'm Christian enough to not need to listen to dirty songs that need censoring in the first place.

No wait a minute, that might be a bad idea. How about I just LEAVE the censorship whiners alone, and let them wallow in their sorrows all by themselves, let them all stand around and gripe about "the man".

Then maybe they will let US have our little threads here and there where we gripe about the things WE don't like, we get it off our chests, and then we move on.

How about them apples?

I love how the posts that contain a shread of intellectualism are completely ignored, with harping on the stupid or ad hominem attacks in its stead. But let me try it one more time, with cornrows over here.

Bitching about the SQ of satellite radio is not equivalent to complaining about censorship. Bitching about the SQ of satellite radio is more like complaining that your car is not getting 200 mpg, or a plane not getting you accross the country in an hour. While technically feasible, it's not possible for a corporation trying to turn a profit at this moment in time. I'm sure the P* word isn't something your sensitive socialist years want to hear, but it's what makes our country run.

Maybe in a few years satellite will have the technology to have many streams, and exceptional sound quality and your car will get 200mpg. Maybe not, but no sense in trying to milk a stone right now.

--- And in case I have to point out the obvious (with this crowd, it seems like the right move); removing censorship from previously uncensored channels doesn't take any great leap in technology, just a correct decision by managment.

We have the technology now. The Government allocated and restricted the bandwidth. Go complain to them. (Not you, JG; the whiners.)

This is very true, I stand corrected; either way it's not something Sirius has control of. (contrary to arbitrarily censoring channels without warning)

1.cry me a river
2.you sound like a whining baby
3.don't like it? leave!
4.maybe xm is for you
5.here's a quarter...

Some people don't get it.

We aren't asking you for your differing opinion. This thread is for the people who think the sound quality could and should be better. Thats what we do here. In this thread. Talk about bad SQ.

Here.

In this thread, right here. IN here.

Out THERE, you can whine about not hearing the word A$$ anymore.

In here, we have tears in our ears, from laying on our backs, crying over Sirius SQ.

I'm not invading your censorship threads, telling you how stupid you are being upset that you can't hear cuss words, now am I?

mcpish, it's not just a Canadian thing. I'll take content over quality when it comes to radio.

DAB, you're right! this is not a political forum.
