Default Sirius Schedule Grid In The Works

I recently got a Sirius radio to make long drives to see relatives at Christmas bearable.

I was shocked to find there was no schedule that covered multiple channels to see what was on at any given time. Some channels have schedules at sirius.com but the schedule is only for that channel.

This weekend I have been working on developing a grid schedule that shows multiple channels. It currently has the non-music channels with weekly shows entered. It is still early in the development process there are doubtless bugs to fix, a better interface to develop, and lots of data to enter.

I plan to make it a wiki of sorts where the people viewing the schedule will be able to maintain it, add special events, and make corrections. For now only I can add data and some of what is there is bound to be wrong.

Anyway, you can take a look at it for now at:

http://www.myquealer.com/sirius/sirius.php

That URL will pull up the current schedule there are links in the time bar to move forward and backward in time.

I will be working on the script so at times it may not work as expected, or at all.

Let me know what you think.

Mike

That is really cool! You really put alot of work into that. I think you should talk to Sirius and see if they will pay you to develop it so it can be integrated in their site

Utterly fantastic! Superlative! I envy your enthusiasm and free time.

BTW, Myquealer, aren't you glad your last name isn't Hunt?

Excellent! Do you want corrections?

WRN 140:
Category should be "News"
Link should be http://www.sirius.com/WorldRadioNetwork
The schedule is here: http://www.wrn.org/namerica1.html

Might as well mention this guy's got a project to do the Sirius news channel schedules: http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum...ic.php?t=33077
Very compact PDF's. Weekday only though.

kitchin,

Thanks. I used the PDF of weekly news/talk schedule for a lot of the data.

I have added the WRN Schedule to the grid.

There are still several other channels which have schedules available in one form or another that I have yet to add.
