I beg your pardon, but I don't think we all sit around all day long listening, but I do listen a great deal in the course of my day, though I switch off between XM and listening to my media player. Anyone that doesn't notice the stale playlist in my opinion either don't care or they aren't paying attention. I also listen to a half dozen different stations because that is the only way it even slightly tolerable. It's like some have said, there are those willing to accept the status quo and those that want to push the envelope towards improvement. I'd find it mighty hard to believe that no one thinks that playlist couldn't be improved across the service as whole.

Bubba, they guy hasn't done anything to be banned. I agree his comments have no muscle because he really wasn't an active member on this forum, but some of his comments have little merit to them.

Wow, I thought that there would be a little more receptiveness to constructive feedback guys.

I feel somewhat the same way about the playlists on certain stations, so much so I sent feedback, hoping for improvement. Though I dont feel drastic enough about my issue that its enough for me to cancel because I am a sports junky after all.

The below is what I sent to Feedback just yesterday:

Original Message Follows:
------------------------
First Name: XXXXX
Last Name: XXXXX
Email Address: XXXXXX
Subscriber: Yes
Phone Number: XXXXXXXXX
Message: I just wanted to provide feedback regarding the current lineup
of Hip-Hop/R&B stations available through this service.
I just cancelled my XM Satellite radio subscription (2 wks ago) due to
the release of the SIR-GM1 tuner for Cadillacs that allows Sirius
integration into my vehicle.
My immediate excitement to signing onto sirius (for Howard Stern & NFL
Sunday Ticket, NBA Pass) has since been purged since I started listening
to current selection of hip hop stations, HipHop Nation, Shady 45, etc..
The programming in this area is subpar compared to XMs "The City", "Raw"
& "The Heat" channels.
I must admit, its truly disappointing, as your selection of Rock,
Sports, & Talk completely kicks ass. I hope that the area of concern
for me drastically improves sooner rather then later.

Thanks,

You giving feedback to Sirius is constructive. Someone bitching here isn't.

The OP just wanted to troll or find a shoulder to cry on.

But posting like this, really is pretty meaningless.

I think SIRIUS has some very nice equipment, but like you said the comments you made were your opinion no matter how wrong it might be.

I tend to agree that SIRIUS playlist are stale and the lack of removing and adding songs to keep these small play list fresh just about borders on obscene. It is true that on some channels you can almost set your watch by when a song will be played. How these programmers think is acceptable is beyond me. XM does a much better job of mixing it up and keeping their playlist fresh. I am down to one sub for SIRIUS right now and much of that is because of this issue. I am sick and tired of it myself. It's pretty sad when you go out and invest in a MP3 player and subscribe to a download music service to be able to get music you simply aren't hearing on Sat Radio, but that is indeed the case with SIRIUS.

You have a right to say what you said and cancel the service, but posting this big farewell when you've never been a part of this community to begin with is just silly.
Aw Dab,man ,I never thought I'd see you post such a thing about Sirius.
Im shocked!

And when comparing Sirius to XM, it's difficult to find areas where Sirius is better (football fans would disagree, obviously).

And what's the deal with the hardware? I waited for Sirius to catch up to XM, but every piece of hardware they put on the shelves looks like something Fisher Price built. Come on, who's designing this stuff?

In the end, satellite radio is still great. And this is only my opinion. I bid you all farewell and I'll try not to let the door hit my butt on my way out.

P.S. I hope the employees at the call center are supplied with ample amounts of tissues because it sounded like the guy was on the verge of tears when I called to cancel. The pleading was just sad.
And we care because?
