Default Leaving Sirius and only had it 2 Months.

I'm very disapointed in Sirius. I am just one unhappy customer. I did have XM before and am getting it again because Sirius would not help me when I had a bad antenna and that Gary guy who is a program guy was not very nice to me.

When I cancel will i have to pay a fee?

As far as Sirius Backstage Thank you for this site it is very good!

No fee unless you have a lifetime sub.

Sorry to see you jump ship with such little effort

Oh well. I don't think you have to pay a fee.

Ever notice everyone here is so nice when you leave?

What was the problem with your antenna?

If you have a plan less than 1 year (monthly, quarterly, semi annual) there won't be a cancel fee.

My first 2 months I went through 3 different recievers until I got a good one, too much stuff made in China by 7 year olds these days that doesnt work worth a shit, i was about to give up as well, until I finally got a decent receiver, then everything since then has worked out fine. But I can sympathise with you if your not getting reception, but more than likely its the equipment.

Sounds like me. I had the Kenwood dedicated Sirius tuner just before the universal tuners came out. The signal was a joke, and I wasn't even sure if it was the signal and lack of (at the time at least) signal repeaters or the antenna. I figured maybe it is when I was in a Great Wraps in Ann Arbor where they were playing Sirius. I talked to the manager after we ate telling him he had good taste in radio (at least compared to Muzak). That's when he told me the antenna was located in the middle of the basement. My friend and I looked at each other, because I assumed it was located on top of the building. He told me he has had no bad reception or anything. That was sure to woo me back if necessary.

BTW What's the best PnP receiver to buy? I was going to get a Sportster Replay or 4. Is that cool?

11bravo, may I ask what you consider to be a "decent receiver" at this point. I'm curious because I'm about to go through a second Starmate Replay and am wondering where to steer next!

And to Hockeytown I say, up until recently, I would have said that in my opinion, the best PnP receiver would definitely be one that doesn't need a cradle (such as the Starmate Replay)! Forget about those portables (S50 or Stiletto) as they are deprived of some features when not on their cradles: one just doesn't play live (S50) while the other doesn't have direct channel input).

IMO. The best radio ever is the sporster replay i dont like the replay feature but i do like the knob. Has big letters, you can go to the channels directly with the knob. The sirius one is pretty good also, only thing i dont like is it only has one line display. The starmate replay is good also. So what i'm saying here is depends what you want out of the radio. I like fancy radios but sv1 is the only way for me.

If you liked the sportster replay then you would like the PNP3. It's like the Sportster R, but doesn't have the replay functions or the blue light. Those were the days.

You make it sound like they only are missing features and don't contain others. Being able to record several hours of content each morning while i sleep and taking it with me to listen at my schedule replaces the need for live signal on my S50. It provides me with content all day long, not just when I'm in or near my car. It all depends on your listening habits and what you want to get out of the service.

Please. Everyone reread the initial post...talk about CRY BABY. HE WASN'T VERY NICE TO ME WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH.

Fool, I worked for a pager tech support for 8SECONDS and the PROFESSIONAL sitting next to me would pick up the phone, put you on hold till the call time was about what they SHOULD look like, hang up, do a line under the cube, repeat.

Based on his numbers he was the MODEL EMPLOYEE.

Now THAT'S someone customer service for ya!

Default Doesn't matter how he said it

Customer service was bad.

Repeated attempts to rectify the situation failed.

Why would you pay for something that doesn't work ?

1st 2 were XACT, then I got a starmate (dont recall model) then I finall got an XACT Sportster/Replay that actually worked, since then It has been no problems. My first 2 XACT sportsters just wouldnt work, one time it was the actual receiver, then when I traded it in, the antena's wouldnt pick up. Then the starmate just didnt fit my vehicle as well as I had liked so I went back to XACT. But all the models I had a problem with were these combo packages at COSTCO, so (after 3 returns) I just had it credited to my account and then bought a new one at a Wal mart of all places and it has worked like a champ.

I probably meant to say "decent" in terms of one that actually *&*(@#&*# works! to much tech equipment these days is just crap, even the more expesnive stuff.
