Wendy's® Signs a Biggie Deal with SIRIUS® Clearwater, FL, November 2, 2006 – Wendy’s International, Inc, (NYSE: WEN) has agreed to install SIRIUS Satellite Radio® in a large portion of company-owned stores. The service will provide a select number of SIRIUSBusiness channels, supplied by Applied Media Technologies Corporation (AMTC), which consists of 67 channels of 24-hour, commercial-free music from SIRIUS Satellite Radio® (NASDAQ: SIRI). AMTC will also provide sound equipment under the agreement. “Wendy's has publicly declared a focus on enhancing our profitability, which includes a plan to reduce company G&A significantly this year. The switch to SIRIUSBusiness is a portion of that plan,” explained Dave MacLeod, Senior Vice President of Franchise & Customer Technology Services. “Remarkably, after evaluating our options and cost of the music programming on Sirius, we’re convinced that this cost reduction measure will help to both meet our business objectives and actually enhance our guest experience.” “Wendy’s is an industry leader because they deliver excellent value: delicious food at an affordable price,” remarked Clayton Burton, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at AMTC. “We’re following a similar model with SIRIUSBusiness: a great value and variety of music for just $24.95 per month. Wendy’s recognized our value in their selection for business music. Wendy’s will also be taking advantage of our ability to control the specific selections of music available to their store managers.”

The two local stores near me may be independent. One of them plays a local FM station the other plays music from an unknown feed. I shall see if they switch.

I am going to push the ones in my local area to make sure they get SIRIUS if they don't automatically get them. They are franchise, but I am sure this will be made available to them.
