Default What's Happened To GSI?

I notice that the "Get Sirius Info" blog has had no new posts since October 21. Anyone have any idea what's going on there?

Not much news??? Check out Orbitcast, they've posted plenty of stuff. But, I will agree, there hasn't been much big news..mostly smaller stuff.

The only problem is, I know you're going to give me grief about this because I've said it before, but Orbitcast is known by many people to have a bias towards XM. It just seems that anytime there is a post that is SIRIUS related, it has a negative spin on it.
I've been getting on www.satellitestandard.com more often, and find them to be a strong source of information, SIRIUS or XM wise, without any negative spin that we might see on Orbitcast.

Orbitcast does sometimes put a negative spin on Sirius stuff, but they also do it on XM's. He is pretty even on Sirius/XM stories, but somedays he'll have more XM than Sirius...that's just the way it is. If it's a Sirius news day he'll have more Sirius. I think some people confuse his preference with bias, you can have a preference and be non-biased IMO.

Of course, XMECUTIONER, you've heard me say this before.

SISO, Orbitcast is definately bias. 95% of the comments are all XM fanboys trying to smear Sirius.

So, how does that make Ryan biased? It just shows that there are a bunch of XM trolls out there.

The comments have improved ever since he started moderating them I think.

Trust me, no matter how many times I've sent him something that was XM news (mostly negative) he's never put it on. Yet I've set him something that was negative about Sirius and within an hour it's on the website.

Setting that aside, I've actually read satellitestandard a lot more than I used to.

Ryan does a great job with his site, If he wants to be a bit biased one way or the other it is his site he can do that.

I think many of the comments are certainly XM trolls bashing SIRIUS, but I don't totally blame Ryan for that. All in all it is a good source for information.

Orbitcast is probably the gold-standard for satrad industry related blogs.

As with any blog, it's essential to have a personal voice. Blogs are opinion based, so I see no reason for bias to be an issue.

Ryan does great internet journalism with an approachable style.
