I thought it seems like a nice simple little radio, although it reminds me of one of the XM radios on display around here, as far as shape and coloring goes, but that doesn't always mean its a bad thing.

Nice to see them pushing entry level hardware.

I have had my stratus for a couple weeks now and love it. It is a basic receiver and is a deal for the price. I did have to use the FM relay to get a decent signal. It is nice to see they are advertsing it since i called tech support the other day to see what style of remote would work for it since it doesnt come with one and the tech support staff had never heard of the stratus and thought i was crazy!(i called 2 days ago) I had heard tech support was bad, but this was ridiculous. I will not complain about tech supports being in India anymore cause this guy was straight out of the ghetto and had no clue!

Default Stratus

I had a Starmate Replay for 9 months, the power jack broke on the unit, and the cost to repair was not worth the effort. The twice a day or more constant plugging and unplugging from vehicle to home was too much for the not-too-robust connections on this unit.

I decided to purchase the Stratus, both because of the plug and play type connecting feature, and because of the cost of the unit...I figure if it breaks I am out $50 vs. $120...I love Sirius, but can't buy a new unit every year!

The only drawback is the modulator on the Stratus...very weak. I bought the modulator that hooks into the car antenna...10-20 minutes later I was in good shape.

Nice unit...simpler than the Starmate, but not too bad overall, especially for the price.

I just ordered one myself, what remote does work for it and are remotes available at the big box stores like Best Buy and CC?
