Default Holiday sale on subscriptions?

Anyone know if they will do a sale on lifetime subscriptions for Christmas?

I'm interested in this too, because I was one who first subscribed to Sirius because of the sweet 20% off deal through the Sirius store. It would be nice to have that again, now that I'm looking to renew my subscription and possibly purchase a lifetime plan.

You realize, of course, that since you are already a subscriber, none of these possible promotions will apply to you. Welcome to the real world. Your only hope is a rebate on a new receiver.

Well, I was hopeful that the lifetime subscription would go 10% or even 20% off for the holidays. No such luck. I called cs and asked if they had anything planned and the guy said not to his knowledge.

Things must be going pretty darn good to just blow off your current subscribers...

WHERE DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS STATEMENT?????

Did they EVER have a deal on lifetime subs? From what I read, they are trying to sell these lifetime subs based on the threat of it not being an option in the near future...and you want a 20% discount.

3.5years and the lifetime sub is paid for. That's HARDLY a lifetime of payments for a lifetime of listening...but it's not free so...

Well said rustytrombone.

I am still see-sawing on purchasing a lifetime sub myself. It's a good deal, so long as the radios last, even if I have to swap radios three times. Question is will those radios last a total of more than about 5 years (assuming I had to make three swaps at $75 per). Wish I had a crystal ball...

I also do not have one. For me, it's a better deal to only pay 6.95/month for my others....if you have a lifetime sub do you get the others for $6.95/month or is that only if you are paying by the month?

As soon as they got a "keeper" on the market, I'm down for life.

I'm wondering the same thing rustytrombone.

I believe the answer is that you pay the lifetime on the first sub, then the cost is $6.99 for each additional radio (up to three additional). Can someone confirm this?

Also, the Sirius website says the lifetime deal offer ends January 31, 2007, though I've heard that in the past they've extended other "end dates" for this.

I currently have the lifetime sub (purchased a year and a half ago). I also have my mom signed up under my sub for the $7.00 per month. In fact it is signed up under her cc# so is totally transparent to me.

I figure that after i go through my 3 changes, at the very worst i can add the latest and greatest for $7 per month (or whatever the current $ amount is)...and I will have at least one free internet sub for life!

Yes Mr Smart Ass, about a year, year and a half or so ago Lifetime subs were $400. It seemed as if the price increased shortly before I bought my one year sub.

If you can't reply without being an asshole, DON"T!
