Question Censored music???

Why is it Sirius has Howard Stern completely unsensored but sensors Hits-1 and The Pulse ch9 (and probably more) music, taking out some of the lyrics of the songs? I like to listen to my music unsensored.

If they want to have kids channels with cleaned up music, then by all means add them in but can we not have unsensored tunes as well????

WHATS UP???

I mean, if you read what you just wrote you'd see the answer. HOWARD STERN compared to HITS 1??????? I can't imagine. Why don't you try one of the other 60 or so UNCENSORED stations???

Oh geez, I'm sorry. I thought that person meant censor. I didn't know we were talking stimuli.

Jesus, give the guy a break people! So he misspelled a word. It's not as if there's one person in here that can claim to never doing so at one point or another.

These channels are what they refer to as the Business-Safe Channels. Yes, it is completely ridiculous. Honestly, your best bet is to do a search for "censorship" because there are NUMEROUS threads about this all over the place.

All you can really do is what I do -- contact SIRIUS by E-Mail, phone, etc. and let them know how you feel. Here's some contact info to get you started:

http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum...ad.php?t=81405

BTW, as crazy as it may seem there are a few people in this forum that are actually in favor of this absurd practice! They're what we refer to as the Censorship Junkies or Lords of the Absurd just to name a few. Just beware of their existence and know that they are out there and are known to spout off some major bullshit.

Sorry but ALL of the songs on HITS1 can be found UNCENSORED elsewhere. Same goes for MOST of the censored channels.

What we need is someone to post that site that tells you when and what stations specific songs are playing on. Just too lazy to look myself.

Red face Thanks Chad..

Sorry everyone for the mrs-spelling.... I mean miss-spelling... ;-)

Lack of alcohol in the blood stream....

Thanks also for the link Chad. I just sent them a note.

Any chance on a getting a patition started on this?

I really do not listen to Hits-1 much (getting a bit old I guess) but I like The Pulse and also The Spectrum. It would be nice to find this music on another stations but I do not speak spanish yet... LOL

Rusty... when you say stations... do you mean on Sirius or do you have to go over to XM for UNCENSORED music... ;-)

I think the display will tell you what channel the uncensored version plays on. It's simply an ALTERNATIVE, giving customers an option.

Not every subscriber is wrapped in the flag like Chad, some have common sense...

Question

My S50 only tells me what the current song information is?

Also when streaming Sirius on the computer it does not mention were I can listen to the music uncensored?

Is there a channel list that tells which channels are censored?

I was surprised not to see Hit One on there, but I guess that is because occasionally they do play explicit music, but for the most part they play radio edits too.

I'm a bit confused by the list. Broadway's Best will have some music which is not 100% work safe.

The list is to show the channels that ARE safe, not the opposite!
