Default Strange signal/channel occurence

Did anyone have any weird radio behavior just now? (about 4:45 EST)

I was driving home from work when suddenly my radio cut out. I looked down and it said "Acquiring Signal". I opened the antenna aiming menu and saw zero sat and zero terr signal. The area I was in usually has both. After about a minute, it started a channel update. It went through the update count-up four times. I had to wait in my car outside of the supermarket until it finally finished, then I had signal and sound back. When I came out of the store, radio came on for about a minute, then did the channel update again and returned to normal.

It's now in my home dock with strong sat and terr signals and seemingly functioning fine. I don't see any new channels.

So if nobody else had this happen, it must either be just a fluke or my JVC may be on knocking on Death's door, or at least sniffing around it.

That would be a bummer but I'd get over it once I fired up the Stiletto that I'd be FORCED into buying....

I've read about various power outages in NYC... Maybe SIRIUS had to shut down their power for a few seconds and switch to a generator? (Just a theory)

Yeah, I thought my old JVC unit crapped out. The thing that sucked was that all my presets were erased.

I had that too. Signal DIED...I check antenna, all OK. Put on some recorded fun, a minute later S50 switches to LIVE FEED automatically.

Must have been a nationwide goof. (I'm north of boston)

I lost signal, updating at least two times and then lost all of my presets. I turned the radio off and on twice, then reset all of my presets.

I came on here to see if anyone else had the problem, so I am glad that is was not only Richmond, Va area that had it. I have Sportser IR

I had the same thing happened with my Sirius One south of Chicago and the presets were gone. However, when I got home I put on my XACT Streamjockey II and there was no update like with the other radio.

Well, I guess this is good news that mine was not an isolated case related to my equipment and that my JVC isn't biting the dust. On the the other hand, I was warming up to the Stiletto idea.

The onl;y bad thing on m sportster replay is all my memory songs and presets got knocked out. It's like the outage refreshed the unit like it was new.
