Default Goodbye Sirius

I sure hated to make this move since I have been a loyal listener since 12/'02. When the satellite radios came out I waited because I'd heard Sirius would carry WSM and when that was confirmed I bought my first unit. Now, WSM is gone, then just like last year they turned my favorite country station to 24/7 Christmas music and Outlaw country is pretty good except for some of the foul mouthed DJs. So, I guess the best way to vote is with the pocket book and remove the funding. I'm sure I won't bankrupt Sirius but they are short one subsciber which means they need two new ones now.

And by the way, I never ever had any trouble with the customer service. I always felt it was superb!!

I hear what you are saying. I think XM has better country music channels. You should try XM you will like it.

Sorry that sirius is not what you expected but as I've seen posted here by others...if you get sirius for only one channel your sure to be disapointed and its probably not the right choice for your listening needs...good luck

Well, all I can say is thank god those "foul mouthed DJ' have a home at SIRIUS! Even though I don't care for country music, I do occasionally listen to Outlaw Country because they play some things outside the realm of genre classification...and especially for guys like Mojo "Lyin' Cocksucker" Nixon who holds absolutely nothing back.

But I definitely agree with you that it can get quite frustrating having your favorite channels taken over. Then again, most of us are pretty much used to the unwanted "single-artist" channels and the sports-coverage constantly taking over great channels like Radio Classics.

Default DJs

I am getting more and more frustrated with the DJs on Sirius. I really don't understand why they have them anyway. They blather on about inane crap which I never care about. Who cares what the weather is like in Cleveland or what the DJ had to eat that morning. I nearly went ballistic when some of them started TALKING OVER THE MUSIC!! I couldn't believe it. It's as if people think it is fun or something. Again, play the music and shut the F*&K up!

Am I alone here?

****insert goreds2 plug for xm here****
Hey man I like the dj's on sirius to me it gives the service a personality.
One of the reasons I've decided to give up my xm sub is be3cause it feels so impersonal...I hardly ever hear anyone speak at all on the music stations.....
Sounds like xm might be the place for you

To tell you the truth I've had XM for a month and all I ever heard on channels was DJ chatter that was LONGER than Sirius's. You'll get DJ chatter no matter what hosted station you're on, including XM, FM and Sirius.

The DJ's make it Radio . If all you want are endless tunes seperated by a few seconds of silence, you might as well have an iPod. It would cost less and you'll always get the tunes you want with no repeats.

And save for the commercials, just like I can get for free. Some of us hope for satellite to be better than FM just as one would expect cable or dish to be better than broadcast TV.
