Default Warranty is a load...

Last year I purchased and gave my sister the S50 for Christmas. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I learned that the radio broke in March. She started the return/warranty procedure and has still not received a new radio. The warranty dept claims that they will send her a new one when they get some in stock. What a load of crap! I can walk into any store in the country, buy online at Sirius, or call directly and get a new one by the end of the week. This has been going on for 8 months and they tell her to keep paying her subscription fee.

Is this normal for Sirius to treat their existing customers this way? Are they too focused on gaining new customers?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. They are about to lose a customer and gain a very vocal anti Sirius fan and new XM user.

Suggest you search the forum. You'll find many people who are having the same difficulty in getting a warranty replacement.

I guess that is a relief to find out that they have treated everyone as shi**y as my sister.

I am positive that Sirius will not be found any where on my Christmas list this year. Dad gets XM!

I think I have made actual progress.

I will let you know what I did after I receive the radio that was promised to be here in two days! Don't want to jinx it.
