Default Cable Home Distribution Kit Review

I purchased a Cable Home Distribution from TSS the other day (http://www.tss-radio.com/sirius-catv...on-p-4093.html) and got the free shipping option. It was at my house in 2 buisness days, I will definately do business with TSS in the future as I was impressed after using them for the first time.

On to the kit... The kit contains an outdoor antenna, 2 diplexers and an F-connector to SMB adapter. The install was a breeze, I found a mounting spot on the outside of my house near my TWC box. I simply drilled 4 pilot holes and screwed the antenna in using the provided screws. Next I used some of my spare coax cables and ran one from the antenna to the sirius port in one of the diplexers. Then you disconnect the cable from the room your radio will be at from the cable splitter and hook it up to the in/out port of the diplexer. I then found a short spare coax cable and ran it from my splitter to the CATV port on the diplexer. The outside portion of the install was then finished.

Inside my house, all I had to do was disconnect the coax from my cable box, and plug it into the in/out port on the other diplex and then run another cable to the cable box. Then you need another coax cable hooked into the sirius port of the diplexer and then hook the other end of the coax into the F-connector/SMB adapter. I then plugged in the SMB adapter into my Starmate replay, crossed my fingers, powered it up and I saw a full satellite signal.

I've been waiting on this kit for awhile and it met all my expectations. No more hooking up my laptop to my stereo for my in-home sirius

I am hoping I'd get an answer from somebody with this kit... will this work with my 4-way splitter? I'm hesitant to get this and the cable TV requires an amplifier to split 4 ways. It goes from outside (where I can see) back to underground into the basement wall, then into four different rooms, where one room hopes to have a signal and TV.

The diplexer actually sit's behind the splitter. So instead of having the coax that goes from the room you want a signal in, you plug it into the diplexer along with the antenna's coax, then you plug the coax that goes into the room to the output of the diplexer. I'd imagine it would work. I have a 3-way splitter that sit's before the diplexer and I have no issues.

OK. Still, I'm trying to save up money for Christmas and surprise my mother with it, but until then I'm flat broke for satellite money due to the Stiletto.

I didn't think to take any after I finished installing, and I don't really want to get back into my TWC box outside as it was a pain getting it to shut tight with the birds nest of coax in there.
