I actually have to agree. I hate glancing over and catching the very end of a "as heard on <station you don't care about>".

Also, I don't know if it confuses song seek, but the extra information does show up in the memory list.

I think it'd be best if they transmitted a third "info" field that the radio could optionally display if people want it - as yes, some of the information is useful or interesting.

Or just an option on the radio to *never* scroll, because frankly, I hate driving and glancing over and catching the very end of the artist name just as much. Sitting at home, sure, but when on the road I'd rather just see the first however much fits.

That's what I want: more scroll control. I don't mind the extra info, but I hate having to wait for the device to scroll to see the end of a long song or band name, or the year on an oldies station. I should have a button that makes the display scroll and it shouldn't scroll unless I push the button.

You guys who claim how easy it is to just take a second glance at the screen have never really dealt with trying to drive down a road somewhere and glance over at JUST THE RIGHT TIME to catch the info you want. My luck always seems to be to look over and see the same thing again. The other answer is to take your eyes off the road long enough to watch the scroll. Not a good idea!
