Default LOL Censorship is back in music

Sirius NEVER censored their music one year ago so I signed up for lifetime and one family plan reciever (in addition to wanting to listen to Stern)

Then I think in about March or so, they started censoring "a small number" of stations due to a deal they had with Sprint who really ran those stations. I decided that even the six stations was too much censorship. What is an acceptable level? 6/200? 100/200? How about all but one of each genre?

Before you start talking about how some people dont like to listen to the F-Bomb being dropped, I am talking about Hip-Hop stations where half the songs are filled with curses. Why listen to Hip Hop if you are offended by cursess?

So I did what I could - which was cancel the family plan and gave the reason due to censorship. Over the summer I started hearing curses again on cnannel 50 and looked online and found out that Sirius did away with the censorship so I signed back up with my family plan.

Now this morning the "n-word" was changed on Hip Hop 40. That word is in half of hip hop songs.

I was already on the fence about canceling due to lack of reggaeton and this might push me over the edge.

I just wish they didnt recharge me activation everytime they change their minds and go back to censor free because I will likely sign back up when they do.

It would be terrible to lose you as a listener.

I think it is silly to censor the hip hop channels. If you want censored hip hop, listen to them on Sirius 1.

I heard the song "Hate Me" by "Blue October", along with the F-word, the words "cockroach" and "porno" were filtered out as well.

All listeners pay the same amount so I dont see how I am any less or more valuable than any other listeners.

I emailed customer service and they claimed that NONE of their music channels are currently censored and they are forwarding my email to that stations programming dept.

Just because you dont like hip hop doesnt mean you should discriminate. I hate country music but I am glad the channels exist on Sirius (i guess they exist, I never checked lol) for those that do care.

Zero. There are 4000000000 cuts of the same crap music so it can be played everywhere.

I'm sure they are all EDITED differently.

It's too bad you listen to such CRAP that it needs to be forced on every living being with ears with 40 or so edits.

WAAAAAAAAAA FERGIE WAS EDITED!!!!!!!

They should really think about just NOT playing anything that falls in the "RETARD TOP 40"

I like how a guy with a forum name based on a homosexual slur who wastes 1/4 MB of bandwitdh with a retarded picture for each of his 1200 posts is offended by hip hop.

Yeah. C'mon moderators. All this guy does is insult people who's opinion differs from his. That's not what these forums are about. He needs to be reigned in.

Sternfanny and Rustytrombone, you are both entitled to your opinions, but do NOT insult members of this forum.

Consider this your warning.
