Default New Radio Selection question

SInce this is my first post here..... hello everyone!

I have been a Sirius subscriber for about a year now. I got it primarily for Howard Stern, and to be honest thats still what I listen to the most.

I am looking to replace my current unit (Sanyo CRSR-10) with some sort of plug-and-play setup. I have a few questions

1. Does the Sirius receiver I choose make a big difference in sound quality? I am running my current one in my car and at home using the built in FM transmitter and the sound quality absolutely sucks. If it was better I would listen to a lot more music than I do right now.

2. How good is the headphone antenna on the Stiletto? I live outside of the range of the nearest repeater around here, which forces me to place my antenna outside with my current setup. Would it be the same deal with the Stiletto?

3. Is the WIFI connection thing with the Stiletto any good? Is it easy to use? I am somewhat technologically savy, but not a genius by any stretch. I want to be sure that it won't be too cumbersome. Is the connection somewhat seamless when going from an outdoor signal to an indoor WIFI connection?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm only going to respond to the first question.

If the poor sound quality is due to static and interference, then yes. Otherwise, no, or at least, not much. Let your ears decide. Go to an electronics store and listen for yourself.

1. fm transmitters arent the best these days cause of the FCC. your best bet is to use one of those wired fm modulators.

2. the stiletto does best when a repeater is near. you will have to have your antenna outside just like your old receiver setup.

3. the wifi is awesome. if you have wifi setup in your house, usually you just need to connect to your signal and POOF, it works instantly. if your wifi is password protected it may take you a little longer.

the stiletto really is a great radio to get. i love mine and i mainly just listen in my car. but when i am outside doing yard work, my wifi still works and i get to listen to howard while im mowing the lawn or something.

check out the Stiletto forum on here to see pics or read reviews on the unit. welcome to the posting world!
