Default Retention?

My XTR1 crapped out (the infamous off and on syndrome) and I called to cancel the subscription. I was surprised that I was not offered another radio after I informed the CSR that I was cancelling due to a defective radio.

Not whining and not here to trash Sirius or XACT, but I have been a customer for several years and was surprised at how easily they let me walk away.

Thoughts and flames welcome!

Hmmm If you still have access to your web account double check that.

They might have just thought that if you really wanted another radio, you could go on to sirius.com and order a new one. If you would have bought one under the "current subscriber" promotion, you actually dont need to keep the primary radio totally active for the 6 months (atleast in my experience). You just need to keep it on hold while you "get a new radio."

What's the "infamous off and on syndrome"? I have an XTR1 and it would shut off from time to time and immediately come right back on. Is this what you're experiencing? I'm able to fix my problem by adjusting the cigarette adapter in the cigarette lighter. It seems like something is loose in there.

Let me guess, you're now going to XM Radio because your XTR1 died?

Talked to retention and got a new radio on the way.

By the way "realwx", never said anything going to XM. I was just looking for a solution to a problem. For those who had real suggestions, thanks for helping me stay with Sirius! To realwx, go have a drink this weekend and maybe have a date...you'll feel better.

I'm just kidding. Usually when people say they're cancelling Sirius, some (supposedly) XM trolls usually say they're going to XM, like in other threads.

No problem. That's why I stated in my original post that I wasn't slamming Sirius. I've had both services and prefer to stay with Sirius.

Glad they finally took care of you. They are a bit slow, but usually come through. So did they just replace it with the same tuner?
