Newbie and I just received the SIR-ECL1 direct tuner for my Eclipse head unit. I installed it myself yesterday. The sound is unreal and thats what I was looking for. I can't wait to see how Sirius will do in the future.

Wink New to Sirius

Hey,
I am new to Sirius and new to this board, thru I have been lurking for awhile. I got a Stiletto 100 with car kit for Christmas. I got it installed on tuesday. Still new to install the FM adapter (installer needed to order special plugins for my Jetta). Lovin it so far.
Great board also.

Got a Starmate for Christmas and am loving it so far. Haven't made my 90 minute commute to work yet, so I don't know how often I will have to change FM channels. Current best channel has light static and a bit of a tinny sound. Looking into buying and installing the FMDA25 to see if that'll help.

90 minute commute??? How have you not gotten Sirius already?? Good god, I would have slammed my car into an overpass if I had to listen to terrestrial for 3 hours/day.

I got Sirius for Christmas and got it activated today. So now I'm starting to look around to see what all is available.

Behold the power of iPod ;-)

Although, on my way home I used to listen to the Ed Shultz show, but reception went lousy after leaving the Detroit area. I'm glad to see Ed is on Sirius as well.

I'm kind of worried about my morning shows though...I love Bob & Tom and a local Detroit morning talk show....I'm afraid I'll be more interested in listening to good music in the morning now and missing out on my shows.

Well, I finally, officially got my radio. I was gonna get the sony adaptor unit until Amazon fubarred the order, then after reading up on the problems with sony I got my mother (the gift giver) to pick me up a Starmate 4.

We're currently on hold (and keep getting disconnected). But soon it will be online.

Edit: It took two hours but it's finally set up. Hoorah!
