Below is a sampling from dogstar where you can search playlists. I chose Sept 1st at random. They play a great mix of music and go deeper than the other light channels, especially for some artists that are played A LOT on the Bridge - you might hear 10-15+ different songs a day each by Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Carly Simon, Van Morrison, to name a few. Problem is, they play that much of their "core" artists every day which leads to daily repetition if you listen for long periods every day. The solution, at least for me, is to listen in smaller doses, such as not all day at work every day. As a change of pace, it is a great channel and it will be nice having it back, hopefully for good!

I hope Rolling Stones radio comes back, even if it's just for a week.

Although, it will be good to have the Bridge back.

I heard about this on Classic Vinyl. Supposedly a lot of fans emailed and complained about The Bridge being off-air so Sirius is putting it back on for us!

I'd bet you are right. These deals (or payola, as Chad would call them) are tied to North American tour dates. Sirius promotes the touring band, the band promotes Sirius at their concerts. Based on current dates, I'd think the Who will be gone March 31st.

Not likely to happen, for the same reason. If the Stones think that the Sirius promo helped them be the biggest tour of 2006, they'll do a similar deal when they tour next. But it won't be for a week!

Hooray! Someone in command at Sirius shows half a brain, anyway. These single artist channels, despite the payola Sirius no doubt receives, are the worst idea imaginable. I've never listened to the Elvis channel, the Rolling Stones channel, or the Who channel. And I like all three. XM occasionally feels the need to focus on an artist, but they at least stick to one day. I've listened to Ramones on Fungus for 24 hours and Rush on Boneyard for 24 hours. In both cases that was more than enough. This business of hijacking bandwith for months and years on end to glorify a single artist is crap.

And I love The Bridge. It was one of the reasons I picked up a Sirius sub in the first place. About friggin' time they got their heads out of their rectums and brought it back. Whoever shitcanned it needs to be fired. And for the record, I like world music, so count me in as a Globe fan. That makes four. So get with the program and trash the Who channel for some music that matters. I'll get all the Who I need from Classic Vinyl and The Vault. Why no one seems to listen to paying customers is beyond me.

I just checked my Dish Network Programming Guide channel 6010 and at 12:00 AM Central on 1/1/07 it shows SIRIUS The Bridge - Mellow Rock.

At the same time on Channel 6098 it shows "SIRIUS The Who"

Good work, I did the same thing, so we know its in the works!! Imagine, there is more excitement over this event of taking away and bringing back channels than there is for adding some new ones, what does that tell you Sirius?

People are talking about the artist only channels, meaning they love them and want more of them?

I do for now. I signed up for a multiyear deal back when they had vacation and horizons, and an extra dance channel, and funk, .... So I feel a little duped .... I haven't cancelled because AM/FM stinks so bad. I do like a great deal about SIRIUS ... I just liked more before the changes a couple of years back. I did add XM over the summer in my search for more diversity and less repetition/overlap. XM and SIRIUS tend to complement each other more than one being better than the other (just my opinion of course). I'm planning on trying out a subscription to go service like Urge or Yahoo or Napster to go. They are about the same price and I primarily signed up for music and not the Multi-Gazillion dollar content like Howard, NASCAR, Martha, NFL, NBA, etc. Don't know how representative I am though. I bet your sorry you asked now ;-)

Sure hope so Rolling Stones Radio has been my number 1 preset since they signed on. FWIW I have emailed anybody and everybody at SIRIUS about it but have had no response.

I would think fans of The Bridge are also fans of The Coffee House (CH 30).

I can hardly find time for music with Nascar, NFL, Howard, Bubba & Ferrall.

I agree completely. It's a waste and is dumb.

Similarly, it seems kind of dumb to have a Martha Stewart or Howard Stern Channel. I'm not saying they shouldn't have their own shows but it seems like these shows should be on one of the regular Sirius talk channels (Isn't there's a Sirius Stars channel for it).

Worst than that: Martha shows up as her own category. I don't get that one at all.
