Thumbs up Sirius Christmas Channel - THANKS SIRIUS

It seems to happen every year - Radio stations, like here in New York on terristerial radion - 106.7, begin playing Christmas music non-stop in November (I even remember one year a station starting the first week of November) only to end them on Christmas Day. That seems to go along with the commercialization of our holiday. Just walking around the day after Christmas and some stores Christmas decorations were already coming down after having been up for months.

The reason this is somewhat offensive is that for Christians, Christmas Day is the official beginning of the Christmas season, not the end...

That's why I was really happy that Sirius has a Christmas Music Channel (Channel 2) where they're playing Christmas music through the New Year. What a nice gesture to many people who are just beginning to enjoy the holiday season with parties and family gatherings that there's one place on the radio - scratch that - satellite radio we can continue to celebrate this joyful holiday season.

I totally agree...some of my friends call me crazy for still listening to Christmas music and celebrating Christmas after Dec 25 (I run on the 12 days of christmas until jan 6th schedule), but the truth of the matter is I'm sick of everyone effectively killing Christmas the day after (retailers, terrestrial stations, etc) and putting a cap on that happy joyous atmosphere that surrounds this season. I'm glad Sirius is still playing Christmas music until Jan 1st.

I'm glad that there is still someplace to listen to Christmas music. Christmas isn't over for me yet. There are 12 days of Christmas. I always find it to be a big letdown to have this big build up for Christmas and then have it end abruptly on December 26th. I am still enjoying the music and my Christmas tree. Thank you Sirius.

Too bad the one that sticks around is the lesser of the three ...the one with constant repetition, poor selection, and boy bands. If it was the far superior offerings of channel 86 I might agree.

I'm glad that they kept it around until the 1st also. Last year it disappeared the day after Christmas.

FWIW...Music Choice had two channels of Christmas music thru January 1st also. Their Christmas music has always ran thru the first.

It helped me get into the spirit since it was like springtime here in CT. Very hard to think about what gifts to buy when it was 55 degrees out and my flowers were starting to regrow! I enjoyed the Christmas music on Starlite, even with the repeats.
