Default A look back to ancient Sirius

Came upon this 4 year old channel lineup for Sirius. (or 'streams', as they referred to them then)

A lot less Pop and Rock, a lot more R&B!!! I have to say other than the R&B, I think today's line up is much, much improved!

i'm just curious if anyone remembers what channel 51 'planet dance' was like? I love Sirius but feel they could have a better dance channel added top their lineup.

R&B was gutted, they used to have R&B Hits, The Express and SloJamz, all of which were eliminated. Those 3 channels matched up with Suite 62, The Groove and The Flow on XM. Now we dont have old school except for on Fridays in part time presentation on Heart & Soul. Funk is one genre for sure missing that used to be there.

Also there's no I-90 as I've heard also existed, plus The Pulse is shown as Adult Contemporary. But there are some old favorites still around, The Bridge; Starlight; The Strobe; Jazz Cafe; Octane. Oh and they are missing Hair Nation back then, my GF would not like that lineup at all.

Just another reason I waited a while to get Satellite. That Scandal Channel sounds fun.

i'm betting it was like an extra/Entertainment Tonight like channel giving you the lowdown on celebs.

That line up looks good. I wish they would bring many of the channels back like the R&B stations and more Latin station. I can't believe they went from having 5 to having only 2 now.

Question

The Express -- Classic Soul
Soul Revue -- R&B Oldies

Which one is more similar to how SoulTown is currently programmed?
It must have been great to have both these channels.

I admire the diversity of the early line-up, although I much prefer the current pop/rock assortment!
