Default The "What Receivers Do You Have?" Thread - 2007 Edition

It's a new year, so let's get a new comprehensive updated list of what SIRIUS receivers you have and how they're setup.

Guess I'll go first:

SIRIUS Stiletto 100 - w/Home Docking Kit
Connected via computer speakers. Obviously used as a portable.

SIRIUS S50 - w/Home Docking Kit & Car Docking Kit
Since getting a Stiletto don't use the home dock as much. It's used primarily in the car and as a portable while running.

Brix Streamer GTR - w/Home Docking Kit
Used strictly indoors. Connected via aux input to a home theater system. Occasionally use the FM transmitter to broadcast through a stereo in the kitchen.

Deactivated - 1 Sportster, 1 Sportster Replay w/home kits, car kits, and boombox. Probably should sell those.

oh what the heck...

Sirius Connect - hooked up to my PC for recording Howard Stern via Mitch's USB interface and using the Sirius Recorder software

Sportster Replay - set up in my living room and used to broadcast Sirius to my FM radios around the condo. I also have one lying around as a spare.

Starbase - Lifetime sub and it's installed in my 2006 Tacoma. Got it hooked up to an aux input on my Pioneer head unit and boosted with a line amplifier. Sounds awsome!

Sirius One - Used to be hooked to my PC for recording, now it's deactivated. I would sell it but the money I could get for it wouldn't be worth the effort I suppose.

Old School Sportster - I bought this one on Ebay as a spare but it arrived activated and has worked for almost a year without having to activate it. I use this one in my Sportster Boombox. If it ever gets the deactivation signal, I'll just keep it around as a spare.

I want a Stiletto but have absolutely no use for one

Starmate Replay - in the car

S50 - Just got it last week to replace my aging, but still great, PNP2. It's nice to be able to listen to Discovery Channel Radio while out shopping or 60s Vibrations while doing work or on Backstage.

It's 2007 and I'm still using my Orbiter from 2004. With home dock and car dock. I'm behind the times, I guess.

I had the Starmate ST1 but the cigarette lighter adapter started to fray and stopped working. Luckily last January I have bought the extra warranty for that radio and when I brought I back to the store to get a new adapter then ended up upgrading me to a whole new radio.

I now have the Starmate 4 with home docking kit!! Great small little radio. Love the pause /rewind feature. I loved my Starmate ST1 for the time I had it, but this new one is just so much nicer!

SIRIUS Stiletto 100

Spends most of the time in the Soloist dock in my home office. Used in the boombox when I'm outside by the pool, under the tiki bar, cooking on the grill, or working in the garage. Used as a portable when I'm walking for exercise, shopping at the grocery store, or mall, and when I'm travelling for work and on a plane going somewhere or waiting in an airport, which is often. I have car kits for my cars, but I don't drive much.

SIRIUS S50 - w/Home Docking Kit & Car Docking Kit

Since getting a Stiletto I gave the S50 to my retired father who lives with me, and placed the home dock in his bedroom and installed the car kit in his car. The home kit is hooked up to a computer speaker system with a sub, and he listens to it daily on his side of the house. He uses the S50 in the car when he drives somewhere.

I also use the streaming feature to one of my computers from time to time. Most often it's when I'm on a business trip, and want to listen in my hotel room.

My sig explains also, but I will elaborate.

I have the Stiletto 100 with 2 home docks, a car dock, and the Soloist (shared).

My wife has the Sportster 4 with car dock, home dock, and the Soloist (shared).

Who knows what will come out this year, but I might be upgrading again.

Ive been with Sirius since they began, and one of my units is the orginal- ancient Jenson SSR2000, in my PT Cruiser, and orginal Kenwood KCA-R70 in my Mustang,(they both just keep on working) a Sportster 2( connected to my home stereo system) in my family room, a Starmate/boombox in my bedroom, and I just picked up a Sirius InV for a backup unti for 29bucks. Oh yeah, I have an original Sportster1/w boombox put away too ( for sale in anyone wants it).

I had the KCA-R70FM too Joe. That thing was, and still is, a champ. I gave it away after buying an H2A, and saw the guy who bought it off me over the summer. It still works!
