Post Sirius home repeaters! coming out spring to summer 2007

I saw a post in this blog. http://satellitestandard.blogspot.com/ I know its mabie a rumor for now but man I been waiting to hear this forever!! Does this mean we will get a signal in your house right away or in a room with no windows or anywhere in your house. How would a home repeater work and would it work to get sirius in a office building with no windows to get a signal with a boom box or plug in play?

Ok so the XM repeater you need to connect their antenna to your radio. What if they made it So you just plug in the repeater itself, with no other peices required. To make it compatible with o say the stiletto. Imagine that, It seems too good to be true! wandering anywhere in my house with full on sattelite radio! They could just make it a mini version of their Terrestrial repeaters, they aren't even that big in the first place.

The article says it is expected to be half the cost of the XM unit. Lets hope it's half the equipment (no special antenna box)

Here is how the XM Repeater works. It is awesome!

http://www.myradiostore.com/xm-signa...-repeater.html

The Delphi XM Radio Signal Repeater allows you to transmit the XM Signal throughout your home or office without cables!

Place your existing XM antenna in a spot that receives the XM signal well and plug it into the transmitter portion of the SA10116 XM Signal Repeater. This unit will then wirelessly rebroadcast the XM signal up to 75 feet away to the repeater receiver which plugs directly in to your XM Satellite Radio receiver.

Features:

Includes one repeater transmitter, one repeater antenna, and power adaptor
The transmitter rebroadcasts the XM signal, even through walls to the repeater antenna which connects to your home kit or audio system, which can be placed up to 75 feet away from the transmitter.
Multiple repeater antennas can benefit from one transmitter
Works with existing Delphi XM satellite radio receivers
Sleek design for attractive integration in a home environment and stereo equipment
XM Antenna NOT included - you must use your own.

I notice you don't use it with the MyFi, maybe because you don't want to strap that receiver thing to your belt.

I use it in the house to get a signal there plus my detached garage.

The MSRP is $99.

You will need to have an antenna that clearly gets a signal hooked up to it.

It's quite small as well.

Do you know if it will repeat both the satellite and terrestrial signal? for me, the satellite signal is weak but I have a good terrestrial signal right next to a window. A repeater that would repeat that signal would be great. I've never had much luck with getting a good satellite signal at a window - I always seem to end up with a window under a eave.
